Katadyn Base Camp Pro 10L Water Filter

I almost gave four stars but the filter clogged much sooner than the advertised expected life despite being pretty finicky about my source selection. Not much you can do once it’s clogged unless I’m missing a trick. But that said, it’s incredible for larger groups, and so much nicer than pumping or squeezing. I’m buying a replacement filter.

Great product, used it lots with good results, although it does slow down drastically over time. Bring an extra cartridge if taking on a long trip.

This filter is amazing. Simple to setup, easy to use, and much faster than the hiker pro. It's so nice to be able to hang the bag in a tree and have all the water for the evening readily available. I haven't had this filter too long so I'm not sure how the cleaning/maintenance aspect is, but so far there have been zero issues.
