We've used our waypoint tarp on two camping trips so far and it has rained, rained rained! It does such a great job! Kept everything dry and it's built tough but light and easy to use. Couldn't be happier with our waypoint tarp!!

The build on this is really great, fits the hatchback lifted on my Subaru Outback. Easy to setup, great coverage.

Upon opening the bag it comes in I could immediately feel the quality of the material. I've had a decent amount of experience camping backcountry to regular camp sites using lots of different gear and could tell it was going to work great. The main pole is very solid and the gang line pegs were stronger than usual meaning they would take a lot of force to bend when pounding into the ground. First time set up for me was 10 minutes. Easily hooked into my rear wheels and with a roof rack I could pull and create a nice shape that would allow rain to not pool at all on top. At first glance I give this a 10/10. I'll report back after more real world experience with it.

I purchased this Waypoint Tarp to use when I am solo tent camping and also for when I am in bear country. It allows me to turn the back of my truck with a hardshell top into a sort of galley with a shaded eating area. This way I can keep all of my coolers and food stuffs in the back of my truck and avoid tempting bears. The Waypoint Tarp is really well constructed. I am often in windy areas so I added a couple more guy lines and may purchase some heavier tent stakes, although the tent stakes provided are robust. It is very easy to set up. While some of the videos suggest that it is easier with two people I have absolutely no trouble setting it up by myself. The pole is good and strong as are the straps and there is good reinforcement at stress points. I have been tent camping for almost 60 years and have camped in many different types of tents and this one seems pretty well made to me. It stores easily in the provided bag with a little extra room to spare and is pretty compact if vehicle packing space is limited.

Got it late summer and used it ~10 times. Really awesome, prior to this I had an ARB roll out style, this is better in every way, affordable, lite weight, lots of room, waterproof, wind resistant, ... I was considering a "bat wing" but really glad I went with this.

I have wanted some sort of awning for my truck (with a camper shell) for a while but I am.....thrifty.... The Waypoint Tarp is affordable, packable, and covers a good area against the sun or rain. Combined with the Low Loveseat, it make for a cozy camp and it is easy to set up. Also, and this is important to me, it actually fits in the carry bag without having to fold it perfectly. The quality is good but if you camp on harder ground you'll want to upgrade the stakes (or use weights).

I purchased waypoint tarp to use over the galley of my teardrop camper. It works wonderfully for this use and I can also use it with my SUV if I'm not taking my camper. I have really enjoyed this product. Easy one person set-up.

The quality is great and it?s very simple to setup although I?ve had a friend help each time. It?s sturdy enough to take on a fair bit of wind with the guy lines out. The only thing I think would be better is if there was a hook/loop sewn into the peak of the roof or somewhere along the centerline so you could easily hang a light.

Brought this tarp along on our cross country camping adventure this October. We experienced our fair share of rain, low temperatures and high winds, as well as snow! Couldn?t have been more pleased with this purchase. Set up the Waypoint tarp off the back of our Nissan Frontier (soft toppper over the truck bed) and it held up to all the elements and kept us and our camp protected and dry. So glad it came with the collapsible pole and tent stakes. Simple and quick set up, even at night with 40 MPH gusts. Thanks for making an affordable, heavy duty tarp. Looking forward to our trip back!!

I liked the small package size that provides a lot of covered area when set up. The set up is straight forward, although it definitely helps to have a 2nd set of hands to set up.

Love it so far! Fits perfectly over the open hatch of my lifted Toyota Sequoia and was easy to set up by myself. I also tried, with success, to set it up off of my Gazelle tent. I had to use an extra strap, but it worked well. So the Waypoint Tarp will work with more that just a vehicle as a set up point. Packs away super easy and the bag has room for additional item storage if needed. Nice quality too! Definitely recommend this product!

This canopy is great as a add on to anything you have, it worked great on our overland adventure keeping us out of the rain when cooking out of the back or our wrangler. The wind is a little rough on set up but I would say most are.

I recently used my Waypoint Tarp for 5 nights at Clifftop (Appalachian Old Time Music Festival). Installed it off the back of my Nissan Frontier pick-up. Worked great as cover for my Food Prep/Cooking area. Endured a couple of rainstorms with some wind without any ill effects whatsoever. Had several people come over to check it out. Functions like it looks and is described the way point tarp quickly helps you set up camp. I have an F150 with a fiberglass topper and feel like a crossbar and using the middle strap on the top of the tarp would really help the airflow through but overall the fitment on a smooth roof was fine. I really feel like the tarp cooled down my tailgate area while I was on a recent summer trip over in Moab and calmed the wind enough that I could cook an amazing meal and enjoy a cool nap.

Only used it once but the set up was easy. Next time we will fine tune the set up. I havent experienced high winds with this tarp but the design seems like you could rig it pretty study.

I've used the Waypoint on my Honda CRV and Mercedes Sprinter. Its lightweight and fairly easy set up even for 1 person. It is somewhat difficult to get it fully taunt so it doesnt sag in the rain. Perhaps a second pole in the center may help? There is a reinforced patch of fabric on the center of the tarp. I appreciate that you don't need to be a superhero to get it packed back into the storage bag. The tarp when staked down is low on the sides which makes entering from the sides requiring ducking. The Waypoint is a good value for the cost.

I love it, for the most part, however I lost one of the tie down strings after the first use and noticed that all of them are just barely hanging on so I?m surprised I didn?t lose another one. If I can find a replacement string and get more use out of it I?m sure I?ll grow to love it even more

(1) For solo setup, the peak pole would benefit with a spike at the bottom end of the pole. This you easily can MacGyver. (2) a few pocket vents on each side just below the ridgeline would be mighty useful for allowing wind a means of escape from under the canopy. This, too, can be MacGyver'ed if (a) fraying can be prevented, and (b) a flap or a pocket can be added to prevent rain from entering through the slot.

So far pretty great. You should ask me after I get back from a month in Baja at the end of May. I plan to spend time in areas without shade and I expect it to be a crucial item. I made one shakedown camping trip last month. I'm very happy with the ease of setup, the structural quality and strength of materials but I have yet to really put this item to the test in any kind of wind.

Easy to setup, comes in a nice (relatively) compact carry case, perfect for just providing a little rain protection here in the PNW. We used this in Oregon in February and it kept us dry during evening showers
