Kelty Far Out 3 Tent with Footprint

I've enjoyed other Kelty tents, and this Far Out 3 looks great. It's small for three full grown people but for a couple and a dog, it's the right size. Easy set up. Not too heavy. Sustained the rain without leaking.

Bag isn't anywhere near large enough no matter how I roll the tent it's a struggle to get it in. Why would you make the inside of the tent bag a rubberized grippy surface? It's just insane. Otherwise tent is solid, I'm just going to have to find a slightly bigger bag to put it in.

Love this tent. Will never go back to a single door tent. Bit on the heavy side overall but easy to split up between multiple people. The pole design is excellent and intuitive- setup is a breeze. Not a huge fan of the stakes that come with the tent but they are light!

Solid construction, as expected from Kelly. Used this in the Montana Beartooths. Stable in wind and rain. Very comfortable for two 6'+ men. Highly recommended.

Used for jeep camping with my girlfriend. Love the double doors & vestibules, comfortably fit two sleeping pads plus a few bags we didnt want under the vestibule. Rained the first night and had a little condensation, but this was at 10k ft in the Colorado mountains so it happens. It was clear the second night and slept with the fly rolled up under the stars. Never had a tent like this before, loving every bit of it. Something did rub a hole in the floor of the tent during the most recent trip but its okay as the footprint is included so Ill probably just patch the hole. Would recommend this tent, easy quick setup and packs away small. Id definitely carry it motocamping or maybe even a short backpacking trip

I am in love! The design is amazing and the ability to roll up the rain fly is so cool. The pockets are located in the perfect space! I'm 5"9 and I can star fish if I'm laying in the middle. Perfect for myself and two dogs. Maybe another companion. But we had better be pretty close to one another. Literally! 3 person tents and really just two person tents and extra room! But seriously it's a great lightweight tent!! 10/10

I bought this to replace a two man tent I have used for years. I needed more space because my wife has begun camping with. I love how easy this tent is to set up. The tent stakes are better quality than others I have gotten in the past. I love that the footprint comes standard with it. The stargazer mode is nice and easy to roll down if need be. I have not tested this in inclement weather yet however it seems like it will do just fine.

So far so good. It takes a few extra minutes to initially figure out how to set it up, since the instructions appear to be for a couple different models, but there is color coding once you know where to look. No problems, but the top of the structure does reply on the netting fabric of the tent to be held up, so just curious if over use it might be prone to get a hole in the top portion of the tent, might have been better to have some additional support sew in to reduce the that load on the netting, but we'll see over time how it holds up. The fact that that the rain cover sticks out over both sides, gives you more space to keep some gear outside the tent, so more than other tent designs.
