Shopper : can i place this item in the freezer half filled with ice so as to make my own "ice water" instead of adding ice cubes. will it stand up to the insult?Greg N : Mine was bomber all the way till it was stolen Im pretty sure a freezer would be no problem for this bottle no guarantees with the rubber it shouldn't mind thoughBRANDON M : the bottle itself is nearly indistructable, however the screw tops on these bottles are very weak. they crack very easy even without cold temps. i have 2 and both of the tops cracked. I would recomend getting a bottle made by nalgene. Or buy the replacement tops for the bottles that nalgene makes. they fit the GSI bottels. I had to replace both tops. you could freeze this bottle but leave the top unscrewed when you do with any bottlesLINDA P : Yes I think it will -- I believe I have done that.TAMA S : haven't tried freezing the bottle with water, but it is very durable and keeps water cold for awhile. I'm very pleased with this drink bottle

Not flimsy or squeezable

3 3/4 X 8 3/8 Wide mouth. Cam style lid very easy to use, Comes with splash guard. Very sturdy bottle, Cannot be squeezed. Have not put duct tape on yet but it is well designed to apply under the silicone wrap. Solid cord attached to cap, wont crack like plastic when cold or worn. Cannot go wrong with GSI. Very happy with their products so far. BPA FREE!!! Am going to order another one.
