I had been using Fitbits for the last few years and every one of them died after two years, so I decided to try the Garmin Vivoactive 5. So far, so good, but only time will really tell. I was hesitant at first to have an activity tracker with a larger face, but I am growing to like it. It's much easier to read, and I like all information it contains, especially because I can customize it. I especially like that it syncs with my Garmon Edge 30 and Strava. I bought the Ivory model and love the light colored face. I've also purchased different colored bands from another vendor, which have been readily available.

Excelentes features, buena calidad de materiales y larga duración de la batería. Las funcionalidades de medición y análisis del sueño podrían mejorar. No logra identificar cuando me despierto

I bought this about a month ago. Nice watch but I wish that my steps would come up on the face along with how much battery life was left.

First the good stuff: The improved display is terrific--much easier to read in sunlight, and there are some fun features like animated displays. The bad stuff: I thought this was an upgrade from my old Vivo 4, but it has no altimeter function, so stair step counts are no longer available, which I really miss. The other thing is that, on my watch anyway, the "Always On" function is intermittent; sometimes it works as it should (display always on but dimmed, then brightens and animates when you tip your wrist toward you to check the time), and other times the display is off until I actually press the touch screen. This is annoying; one shouldn't need two hands to check the time. I contacted Garmin tech support about this, and they had me jump through a bunch of hoops--including posting a video of me proving I had actually selected "Always On"--and now weeks have gone by, and after repeated contact I've heard nothing back. This is my third Garmin watch and my first disappointing experience.

I bought my Vivoactive 5 a little over a month ago as motivation to start running again. I once owned a Vivoactive 3, but I grew tired of wearing a smart watch and went without one for several years. I must say the great features (golf, coaching, and general lifestyle tracking) have been a huge positive in my life. The watch is a lot lighter than my previous model, which makes an all day wear effortless. My next steps (pun intended) are to achieve my new weight and fitness goals!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I love it. I've only had to charge it once. Battery life is completely awesome.

Love how the battery last longer than a week without having to charge. Features are great and I love how everything is on one app.

Received as a Father's Day gift. Really has been motivational upping my activity level after hip replacement surgery. Only suggestion is they need to add a rucking option under activities.

I own 2 other Garmin watches, but purchased the vivoactive because as an older active person I could not read the data on the watch face easily due to poor contrast (for my eyesight). This watch has great features and is easy to read with the data contrast on the face. I wish it would go longer than 4 days between charges, but I love the watch!

I bought this watch a while ago and I absolutely love it!! It has so many more features then the last watch that I had. I can keep track of everything that I need to keep track of all in one little nifty compact watch! I hope others will love their vivoactive 5 just like I do

I have had vivoactive 2-5. I love the 5. The features are great! I really like the sleeping coach. The only thing I'd like to see on this is I would live to be able to answer texts from the watch. I have an Apple phone so it is not compatible with text answering as I believe the android is. I do wish the phone and Bluetooth of the watch would reach a bit further. All in all I love this watch!

I absolutely love this watch! I started looking at Garmin after my apple watch died after 4 years. I was hesitant to make the switch but I'm so glad I did! This watch is extremely lightweight, user friendly and I love the round face vs square. My absolutely FAVORITE thing about this watch is the battery life. I've had it for 1 month and have only charged it 2x. I use it to track walking workouts mostly and recently just started doing the 5K training program.

After 3 months of using vivoactive 5 watches disappear from my phone and as a result no notifications on my watches will appear. Garmin app is installed on my Pixel 7a and every morning I open the app to sync watches, but I receive a notification that I need to add a device! I did 3 months ago! Why I need to repeat this action every day? What happened?! Troubleshooting instructions did not help.

I got this watch as a replacement for my 4S that broke. This newer version has more features and a better interface (I think). However, things I don't like are the top button is hard to push sometimes to get the menu to come up and it's glitchy every once in a while for no reason. I couldn't sleep with my 4S because of the bright blinking sensor lights, but with the new 5 the sensor lights on the bottom are hardly noticeable. Overall I do like it.

I'm enjoying the new watch, but miss the elevation gain and flights climbed feature of 4 that is not on the 5.

I like the Vivoactive 5 for the data that it provides. It's comfortable to sleep with, but it did once wake me up when I had my hand near my face and the display turned on. The morning report is nice, but it doesn't always work. Occasionally I wish to check the time and it won't turn on by turning my wrist. Other times I'll touch the display to check the time and it will pop into a different screen rather than the time. That's a little frustrating. I am usually a watch wearer and I was hoping I wouldn't miss wearing one. So far I miss it very much. I do like all the fitness data that it gathers and provides. It provides a very good view of how I'm doing. The GPS picture of my routes are kind of fun, and it gives me confidence that the distance readings are fairly accurate. I like that I was able to customize the watch face. I went from wearing a fitbit to this Garmin Vivoactive 5 and this is definitely a step up.

I'm not a runner but I have started walking and exercising for my health. I never felt like my Apple Watch tracked my watches properly so after a lot of research, I decided to give Garmin a try. I absolutely LOVE it! I love that it gives me a bigger picture of my health, tracks my sleep, and the battery life is AMAZING! I

When I bought the Vivoactive 5 watch last month, I wanted to replace another watch which had its limitations. I mainly wanted to track my steps but the Vivoactive watch did that and much more. It tracks my health data and gives me much more information than I could imagine or expected.

I really like this watch. It looks good on my wrist, easy to read in the sun, and does all the basics well. Two small quibbles: I was able to download music and listen but cannot track a run and listen at the same time. I had hoped to be able to leave my phone behind but can't yet. Second I got a small scratch on the bezel and crystal via a relatively knock. I wish the materials were a little more scratch resistant.

My son got me this to help me train and it's very confusing to me on how to access the statistics that I want to see. Mine goes straight to activities and then you spend a lot of time navigating that it is also very hard for me to get used to the plastic band because it holds water under it.

I just started my running journey in March while using the VivoFit4 and quickly realized I needed something with GPS and the ability to track my heart rate as my Fit4 wasn't truly meant for runs, just tracking basic activity (it had served its purpose well). Knowing I wanted to stick with Garmin as i've tried several competitors with zero luck, I bit the bullet and purchased the VivoSmart5. It has successfully helped me through my first 10k with its training features! I love that it notifies me of my heart rate, my stress, even tells me when i've reached each mile and my pace for it. While i'm no mega-athlete, this watch makes me feel like one! I'll be a Garmin Girl for life!!

There are a lot of good features on the Vivoactive 5, including the night mode with less activity that can disturb sleep, and the longer battery life. The big disappointment I have is it doesn't seem to track floors, which previous vivoactives do. I had switched from my Venu Squared back to the Vivoactive, hoping to regain that feature, as I wanted to do the step climbing challenges. My search engine had indicated the feature was on this watch, but it doesn't appear to be the case. Other than that, it seems to track my other activities, like swimming, walking, and biking very well. I also like how it talks through my phone when I hit lap milestones with my walks.

I've been using this for almost a month and no complaints here! Love the look (round face) over my previous watch for sure. Main reason for switching was for tracking my workouts plus more. Does everything my previous watch did and price point is definitely better. In love and won't go back!!
