This was the first smartwatch I?ve ever had and couldn?t be happier the Fenix 6 pro solar. All the data it provides and the exercise options are truly great.

Many bugs and quirks. Battery life is the only reason I continue to wear it and not return it.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago after owning an Apple Watch for several years. It took some getting used to with no touch screen and sever menus to go through. But the features are much better than the Apple Watch for exercise tracking and the battery life is great too.

This was a great upgrade from my old Forerunner 935. I like the advanced features, especially the improved sleep analysis, body battery and stress data. Love having BT HR broadcast. My one complaint is that the online manual is far from comprehensive. After so many years of the Forerunner and Fénix lines I would expect much better documentation. e.g, I can?t seem to get text notifications on my watch. I understand that stuff is buried in menus but the documentation on how to get there should be more readily available.

I am mostly want it for hiking, not training. It does that very well. The maps are great, tracking works as expected, a good display and it has good battery life. I previously had a vivoactive 4, which did not meet my needs. By comparison, I have found I prefer the buttons to a touch screen. The resultant menu structure makes more sense. And because I have large fingers, selecting what I want is much easier.

I have always wanted a Garmin watch. I usually buy G-Shocks but when I heard reviews from some friends about the Fenix I just had to look at it. When I first got it it was super easy to set up and get started. The only issues I had was getting the weather started and within the first month of having it I somehow received a scratch on the lens that goes half way across the screen. Other than that I am super happy with this product and quality.

Join a million apps and still can?t set a decent watch face. No wonder there is a 120 page manual. It doesn?t even seem to do what it is supposed to do. Good chance I will send it back

Have had this thing less than a month now, and absolutely love it! It?s been a pretty big step up from the garmin instinct for me. The only thing I wish I would have gotten instead is the 51mm instead of 47mm. But possibly will be my next watch! 5 stars for me!

I picked my 6 Pro Solar because of its ability to provide information and add safety to my hunting trips.. It not only provides useful and accurate information but has the ability to send my location for help should I need assistance. I am getting older and still go into the deep rough country looking for game. It gives those that care a little sense of security. It has so much information I am still learning but that?s fun also. I haven?t added any of the after market faces or widgets because the don?t offer any more than the original. GARMIN got the one right.

I have only had the watch for two weeks but up to this point I am really enjoying it. The solar charging really is a great feature to go along with all of the other functions that are included with the watch. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking to buy.

I Bought my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar after my Sunnto Baro 9 got messed up. I switched to the Fenix 6 because of the topographic maps and how it works with My inReach explorer+. Many of the options on the Fenix are the same as the Suunto, but the Fenix seems to be more accurate. The look of the app and watch display are much nicer than the Suunto as well. The downfall is how horrible the battery life is especially that it?s ?Solar?. I?ve had a GShock that was solar and I never had to charge it. The ?Solar? function on the Fenix is to extend battery life, but that?s a farce. The Fenix lasts about two days whereas the non solar Suunto lasted almost a week with both having the same amount of data collecting/background features running. If you?re going to buy a the Fenix (which you should), don?t pay the extra money for the ?Solar? function that doesn?t work well. The short battery life puts a real damper on it being an outdoor/ adventure watch, unless you constantly have it hooked to up to an external solar panel. I wonder how short the battery life would be without ?solar? function.

I have had the watch for a couple weeks and it is very nice with nice features. Not sure if I have the settings adjusted just yet but the only issue is the battery is not lasting as long as I hoped.

Love my Garmin pro solar. From hiking to running to high intensity training is the best watch out there. Is a bit price compering to some of the emerging brands. However is totally worth it. It is a big heavy compering to my previous watch but after two weeks I got used to. Súper Sharp look and wear it all the time. The battery last me for about 12 days. I don?t see a big difference and not sure how long do I need to be outdoors for a full solar charge.

After using Garmin Fenix 3 new Fenix 6 offers more accurate measures (altitude after vertical climb, distance during open water swimming etc.). I did not have to charge my watch during entire vacation period (was running, hiking, swimming daily basis), which is about 7-8 days. Display is bit smaller but still functional. I also installed my bike garmin rare light radar and it fits well with Garmin Fenix 6. So overall impression is good. What I missed is the color, since I ordered my watch online color of my watch (grey) is much more bright than I expected.

I have been a long time user of the apple watches since they are complimentary to the rest of my tech lineup. For a while that type of watch served me well, especially as a very entry level triathlete. But as I was entering longer distance running and triathlons I realized that, that watch was not capable of keeping up with my needs. After an unfortunate accident to the watch while doing yard work, I finally broke my apple barrier and went to the Garmin lineup; after all, I've always heard great things about these watches specifically to the world of athleticism. So far Ive been using the watch for about 3 weeks. It is absolutely outstanding. The things that I thought were keeping me back from leaving apple I have found I don't really miss. And the things that I realized I need from a smart watch the Garmin Fenix absolutely does and it performs excellent! I ended up getting the Solar version of the watch, but to be honest the only reason I did this was due to the color pattern. In my opinion the "solar" function of the watch alone does not justify the added expense, but I really wanted the blue bezel white casing color so I gave in. If you are contemplating switching and are like me, debating whether or not you will miss out on the apple features that Garmin can't support then don't sweat it too much. After a short learning curve you will come to realize that those novel extra apple features are not really essential and you definitely can live without them... I certainly do!

I?ve had my fenix 6 solar for a few weeks now, and I?m digging the training stats, the battery is awesome and I?m glad I chose this brand and model over competitors with similar features. I would definitely recommend it to the active person who is training and trying to keep track of your progress, attaining and making new goals!

Look, generally I am pleased with my new Fenix 6 Pro Solar - but given I was unable to try it on in a store and no store near me seemed to stock more than one of the very extensive range of fenix watches I took a gamble and opted for this model. It is larger and heavier than I expected, it is not as comfortable as an Apple Watch which I used before - the most negative part is the screen is quite dark and for me hard to read.. also the menus are really tricky to use and edit... I guess I just need to get used to them. Also, Garmin Pay does not work with 3 of the bank cards I tried to set up... major bank with mastercard and a v well known Visa credit card... spotify does work but sound quality does not seem as good as when using phone and earpods... so overall... just ok...

I loved my Fenix 3, but finally pulled the trigger on an upgrade. Love the functionality, how fast it connects to GPS, and the design. Tons of options I didn?t have with the Fenix 3. Mapping a route for me, so I?m not guessing where I need to run is a great function!
