I love everything about it. Its a nice weight not perfect but the build quality is excellent. Super rugged could be stepped on and wont break The switch 10 is cool but I don't like how the micro usb doesn't have lightening adapter. Perfect for backpacking.

I'm a 100% disabled veteran confined to a wheelchair but have always loved the outdoors, Camping , hunting and fishing as kid with my dad and friends . I thought it was over but with my Yeti 150 and now the Switch Plus I can venture out to my little cabin and have power and lights when outdoors with my friends . I'll be getting more gear soon . Thanks to Goal Zero for lhelping me go outside again

Bought at REI in 2016 for a Philmont trek. Love the solar panel. But that backup battery is an amazing tool to have. The panel is slightly scrapped up (the outer layer) that happened when I set my 50 lbs pack on it.

As a Civil War re-enactor I made this purchase for three reasons; the ability to recharge my "non period correct" phone, the flashlight (small and bright), and the fan to help start fires in the morning when no one is looking. Right after I received the Switch 10, Hurricane Irma came through Florida. I was without power for over five days. I used the fan at night to keep me "cool" and the solar panel in the day to charge the phone and fan tool battery. The "pass through" charging works. It does take longer than I had thought, but still it works. I keep all the accessories in the zipper compartment of the solar panel. The only issue about the solar panel is the zipper compartment opens really easily. Sometime during the hurricane aftermath, I lost the fan motor from the zipper compartment. I contacted Goal Zero about obtaining just the fan motor as I still had the fan blade. After describing the situation in an email, the service representative was exceptional and the motor was on it's way to me within a few days. I have been very happy with the Switch 10 and the company, so much so I purchased one of their mini lanterns. I have had it only a few days and have played around with it and thus far I am very happy with it as well.

I am on my 3rd switch 10. The first stopped charging after about 3 months and the 2nd most recently broke when the top of the unit came free of the main body of the unit. However, it were not for the durability issues I have had with the unit, it would be an easy 5 starts, 6 if they had them. I have taken it on a week long trip to Isle Royale and it provided enough juice to keep my phone charged with light usage. The best features are the super bright flashlight and fan. I was skeptical of the fan at first, but it is the best thing for getting those stubborn damp camp fires going in the backwoods. IT is also a God send on the hot and humid summer nights in the Midwest. I bought a 1 Meter USB extension to bring along both for easier charging and it is super handy to run through a gear loop in your tent and put the fan on one end and the switch on the other. It provides just the right amount of air movement to sleep comfortably. The flashlight is super bright for such a small unit and half the time I just keep the unit near me in my tent for the small light in the body for the evening potty breaks. Be aware, however, I just recently got a replacement for mi first generation that was part of the Switch 10 Kit and the Micro USB cable that came with it is not the nice screw on threaded cable you see in the pictures, it just a cheap non-branded cable. A shame, as so many of us have been clamoring for a Apple Lightning cable for years. Amazon just released their second generation of generic lighting cables and Goal Zero has yet to make one. Overall a great little unit if a few flaws that will hopefully be worked out in the future. Goal Zero makes great productions and their customer service is top notch. Even if it seems I have to call them quite a bit.

I purchased this product about a month ago and it is working just like it is advertised. The panels charge well. The light and fan are great and the battery is powerful and versatile. Great product,

I had a friend recently went to help with the Nepal disaster releif. Hiking to remote villages. Staying for days with no power. Luckily she had purchased a goal zero switch 10 multi-touch before she left. Her stories of the fan saving lives in the heat, traveling in the vehicles. Using the flashlight, and keeping her charge on her phone. She was one of a few individuals who had the privilege to keep their phone charged to keep taking videos and pics and when they got back to base camp was able to call immediately. All because this compact solar charger with a few extra battery banks kept up with her demand out in the field. She is back home now, and has stated, she does not know how she would have done without it.

I was a little worried that this piece of equipment wouldn't work as well as it said. I received the Goal Zero right on time, checked out all the pieces, all were there and seemed well made. First sunny day put it out and waited. 4 hours later it was charged up. I charged a IPhone 6 and a KIndle . Then I wanted to test it on a cloudy day, worked very well, charged my IPhone 4S, from dead to 100% and still had 2 of the 4 charge lights left. The flashlight and the Fan work very well. Intend to use it more over the summer and cant wait to take to Montana in the fall.

I have 3 switch 8's and recently purchased the switch 10 pack. I love the built in LED flash light, and that the attachments screw on. The first real test was on a family trip to Disneyland. I didn't think I would ever use the fan attachment, but it was pulled out multiple times while standing in lines. I saw a lots of people camping out around power outlets in the park charging phones. I smiled as I pulled out the mini cord and plugged it into my phone. The only thing I didn't realize is that the Switch gets really hot if you plug it into a phone and stuff it in a backpack.

I bought this because my phone battery was on the outs and I had my REI dividend handy. I've wanted a new Nomad 7 for a while and the flashlight and fan accessories looked useful too. The Switch 10 kept my phone alive while it was away from the charger and I love that the battery is replaceable. I've started using the flashlight on my paper route over my miniMag. Having a tightly focused beam that doesn't light up the whole neighborhood is very handy BUT they used the wrong switch! I need a momentary on, but you have to fully click this one to get light! This is the only con, and not a big one.

I have several GZ products beginning with the first gen nomad 7 & guide 10. Add the guide 10 plus. Add several nomad 7 panels. Nomad 13 & Sherpa 50. I didn't ever try the switch 8. The switch 10 is a glaring in your face demonstration of GZ's commitment to quality and continuous improvement. The build quality is excellent. Everything fits & functions as it should. The engineering behind the product is evident in the multiple functions crammed into a single kit. The flashlight attachment works quite well. The integrated task light is perfect. The charge level indicator is a great improvement over the original single blinking light. I love the integrated charging plug that can't be lost, along with the cables on the panel. The new nomad 7 design is a great improvement having moved the storage location to the outside of the panels - I did kill an original nomad 7 because of everything stuffed in the storage pocket. I have enjoyed watching the progression of GZ's products over the years. The only thing I see missing with this kit is the industry standard 12v female cig lighter adapter. I also don't see one listed on the website. I'm hoping this will soon be an option - it's the only thing preventing a 5 star review.

I'd been deliberating for months over a portable cell-phone charger, and then I saw this. I've already charged my phone a couple times, used the flashlight and the fan (to get my Solo Stove going). The best surprise was using the solar panels on a cloudy hike - they topped off the charge on the battery. It had 3 solids and a blinking light and after about an hour and a half on a cloudy day, it was fully charged again.

I always like upgrades. I own a couple Switch 8s already, and have been using them almost daily.. but this kit is fantastic. I really like the locking collar feature for the attachments. The upgraded Nomad panel (with the mesh zip off back and built in cords is so cool. Big-time upgrade from first gen panels. The entire kit can fit into the mesh side panel , although not sure if that is what it's designed for. The USB cable that comes with the Switch 10 is such a great tool (and idea!). I am always dealing with a mess of cables and cords and for at least this one that charges my Droid it is small, durable and easy to keep right where I need it. I like the user-replaceable battery cell as well. Good choice. The ONLY concern I have is the small built in LED light on the side of the case, it is possible to have it accidentally activate whilst in a pack or pocket. However, I haven't had this happen yet as I have only had it a few days. We will see. I love the Switch10.. great work!!

I've been using the Switch 10 for a few months. I'm really impressed with the flashlight add-on, and with the build quality of the Switch. Now I keep the Switch in my car as a high-power flashlight, and whenever I need to charge my phone, it's right there. I haven't used the fan much, but the fact that the Switch can serve two functions extremely well makes me very happy. Great battery pack and light!

I have been able to test the Switch 10 for a couple months and there are few days it has not been with me giving my phone the extra power it needs at the end of the day. I love the versatility of the attachments. Wasn't so sure how much I would use the fan but have ended up loving it! Was so handy to have on a very hot hike this summer and was so easy to have an give to my 6 year old to cool off on the trail. The light attachment is super bright and used it daily for reading at night.

Dare say it is my favorite GZ recharger yet
