This is a slightly lighter alternative to the Switchback and Z Lite for those that are camping in reasonably warm temps (Exped says this is good to 43 F). This makes sense if you don't need the increased r-value of the other options and want to keep pack weight low. For many people it will make sense to cut this down to 6 (torso) or 8 panels (torso + head), as leg insulation is less critical in the conditions where this can work as a standalone pad.
Light, durable and versatile closed-cell foam mat in a rapidly-deployable folding form. FlexMat can be used alone for alpinism and ultralight backpacking, or under an inflatable mat as puncture protection and added insulation.
