Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?JEFFRY M : I have had two (2) Eureka tents since I was in my 20's (am 66 now) and my son still uses the first one I purchased over 20 years ago and functions marvelously! This El Capitan is outfitter rated and has more height for my wife and I's aging and stiff bodies :)! Now that we have just retired, it will provide nice overnight accommodations on the many and varied trips we hope to take out west.

Nice Tent

Haven't been through rough weather yet, but love this tent. Watched video on setting up and found one that solved the issue with getting the ridge pole to fit into the gold pockets. Before putting the fly on the tent, work from the underside, put the ridge pole into the pockets, then use the ridge pole to help get the fly onto the tent with the right side out. This is my third eureka with the first bought in 1989. The zippers are really nice.

We Salute the El Capitan!

The El Capitan 4/person tent works very nicely. It is easy and quick to put up. The venting system helps circulate air within the tent while minimizing condensation. The vestibules on both ends provides additional storage space to protect gear from the elements. I have yet to encounter rain, but feel confident it will be water tight!
