I use it on my motorcycle for long trips. It’s great to be able to Hydrate when I stop.

When full this pack can begin to get top-heavy almost to the point of potentially toppling over. This is remedied by rearranging the contents of the pack and making sure that the bladder/water is in the bottom of the pack. Easier said than done once this thing is strapped on, though (I strap the bag on my back with the strap on my stomach, and cannot easily access the contents in this configuration). My main beef is that if you wear it this way, the strap can be uncomfortable...I just put a towel inbetween it and me, which looks a little dorky but does the job. Otherwise I am thrilled with the product. ALSO note that the tube can be extended (seems a bit short) by rerouting the tube to the opening on the other side (same side as how it comes out of the bladder). When you first get it the tube is routed out the opposite side of the pack, making it shorter.

Love the lumbar hydration packs. This one is too bulky. The Alterra is the perfect size,I assume it is no longer available as I have been unable to find one.

The age-old question of staying hydrated on the move has been solved with CamelBak's FlashFlo Lumbar Hydration Pack. Take it out anytime you're headed for a bike ride, a run, or a hike out in your favorite trail. A comfortably padded air mesh back panel and waistbelt keep air moving so you'll never feel hot and sticky on summer days, and the dual-adjust buckle works to dial-in the perfect fit. Reflective details keep you visible to motorists in low-light conditons, and best of all, the FlashFlo includes CamelBak's newest reservoir, the Crux, which delivers 20% more water per sip, so you can stay hydrated while you run, hike or bike to the top.
