Functional moderate sized backpack
Pack has more space for gear than other camelbaks I have had, given it is a moderate size bag and comes with a 1.5L bladder. No issues with leaking. It is actually quite flexible/expandible and I was able to fit a rain jacket, lunch, water bottle, small towel, and other supplies along with the full bladder.
Convenient
Holds plenty for a day of sightseeing. Easy to switch from left to right shoulder carry, but you do have to move the attachment point. The mesh pocket on the front strap is stretchy but it barely fits my Galaxy S21. The water reservoir and tube do not come with it but may be purchased separately. The mesh on the contact points with your body are nicely breathable. The mesh pocket inside is good for keys and other small items. Much more comforable to wear than a hip pack slung over a shoulder.
Less can be more. The Arete 14 pack has big aspirations. The new Arete 14 hike pack is constructed with cool, compressible material so it's ideal for short hikes and can be packed away for spur-of-the-moment adventures. Pack safely for work with a secure sleeve to protect your laptop. This hike pack is lightweight and breathable with added cargo space, for all-day comfort.
