They feel great if you get the ideal configuration to your boots. After a season on Ice still don't feel like changing the front point that I've been using it.

Ive had these now almost two years and no complaints. The tail on the ankle strap is hyper long, so cut that to size to avoid annoying hangups. Nothing has broken and extra toe bail is nice.

I use the cyborgs with the new la sportiva Nepal’s and they are epic. Excellent grab a ton of lateral grip. Perfect sizing. Tough tough tough. These guys will last.

They basically feel like an extension of my feet. I find them perfect for more difficult/icy ascents while skiing in the backcountry and great for ice climbing.

Got these a year ago and love them. Personally my favorite tool on the glacier. Use them for mountaineering and climbing moulins and frozen waterfalls. Pro bindings are smooth and easy to use, really happy.

perfect crampons for mixed and ice routes, they fit well, hold perfectly in ice and you can make confident steps in mixed climb. Switching to mono point is not that user friendly. maybe extra antiboot for mono point will be good idea, so you do not need to use saw for customizaiton.

Bought these for SAR work where WI2 is about as extreme as our rescues get. Used them during a day of brushing up on skills with a guide on WI 3-4. I used them with a pair of Dynafit TLT-6 boots, yeah not your typical ice climber. But since I'm primarily a ski mountaineer who avoids going up ice... They fit and worked very well.

I bought these to replace some really old Sabretooths. They fit on my Vasque boots perfect.

These are great and durable, my only problem is that they don't come standard with the wide toe bail. I have 2 pairs, and my first pair is still slaying Colorado ice after 4 seasons like a champ. It would be great if they included some info on adjusting the toe bail as well.

I bought these for ice climbing after the season was over this year. Nonetheless, I've had the opportunity to use these on a moderately steep snow climb, and I found their performance, on ascent, fully met my expectations. However, on descent I had a significant snow balling problem. Spring snow in Colorado is a dynamic medium, but I was surprised given the integrated anti-balling plates. My companion's crampons did not suffer similarly. I will attempt to ameliorate the problem by applying a hydrophobic spray (like canola cooking oil the next time I use them, and I will let you know (here) how it works out.

Bootpacks, ice, mixed route. These crampons are great. Correct bail width is critical but otherwise- burly awesome crampon

Just bought a new pair of Cyborg Pro's. Tried to fit them to my size 46 LaSportiva Trango Prime boots, and both the medium (which came on the crampons and small toe bails included wouldn't fit. I switched them out with my old Bionic Pro toe bails, and that seems to have done the trick. Was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem/solution as me. Looking forward to getting on some ice with them!

There are no instructions that I could find about how to move the toe bails, but they are difficult to get out. They have to be in a certain orientation to allow the compressed inner portion to go through the hole, then I had to push with a pair of pliers from the inside and pry with a screwdriver from the outside to get it free. I moved them all the way forward and they still won't go over my Koflach's toe welt. Had to order large toe bails, but that's a customer service matter about which I've contacted BD.

I have only used these crampons for three climbing trips. After every trip my cyborgs have been slowly accumulating more and more rust after each trip. Also the adjustment to a mono point is not as easy as it sounds.

I've been using these crampons for several months now climbing mostly WI3 in Alaska. They've been solid and easy to place with even light kicks giving a solid stick. They are difficult to transition them to mono-points. You have to cut a slot in the ABS, use different spacers and screws in order to make them mono or dual.

It takes about ten minutes for me to switch out the dual for mono points with warm hands after an initial struggle to make the anti-balling plate mods for both (loss of star). I really like the ability to use both styles without dropping another wad of cash for a single purpose crampon. They are solid and stable, bite into ice easily, take my futile attempts at mixed climbs in stride, and stand up to years of abuse. I've had my cyborgs for 6 years and am still waiting to need to replace the front points! The pro stays put on my very narrow Asolo boots- I have never had any sideways play, even though my boots leave about 3/8" on each side up front.

...on ice, mixed, alpine, dry-tooling. Great functionality, especially with the mono and dual options. Parts are durable PLUS replaceable. Solid crampon.

The Cyborg Crampon is the ultimate vertical climbing crampon. Excellent rigidity, solid connection to boot, and the ability to convert to a mono-point make this crampon worth the bucks. Want an all around crampon that works great for the pros or entry level climber? Go for the Cyborg. *All-in-all, excellent placements with amazing secure feel.

I'm closer to a beginner but on my way to intermediate. I figured I'd replace my Austrialpin fixed horizontal points with these top-shelf Cyborgs. I'm using size 11 1/2 Koflach Degre boots, and the Cyborg front points were WAY too far out front. One guide pointed out that I can move the toe bail forward to adjust the points back. Some improvement, but still too far forward. Thanks to Jeremy at the Mountaineer in NY, he swapped out the OEM bails with larger BD toe bails. He said the OEM bails are for some other kind of boots. Not only do the larger bails fit more securely but they bring the points back more. Why didn't the guides know about this? No wonder! I see from the reviews for BD Large Toe Bails that BD is just not putting the info out there! Not in advertising, not on the website, not in the instruction manual. That's pretty sorry marketing. I paid a little more money for a pair of competitor top shelf crampons for my wife, but at least they came with a bag AND two styles of bails. BD, you let me down this time. I'm hoping I'll appreciate my Cyborgs more as I get better, so I'll keep working with them, but there was no need for this initial frustration.

I have nothing negative to say about these crampons. They are really solid and well constructed with the duel point setup or mono with a really good antibot system. The heal lever and toe bail are standard and work great. I would recommend them and so far I've climbed solid WI4 with these and played around on some WI3 routes with no issues.

I've been climbing on the Cyborgs for a few years now and am totally satisfied with them. They get excellent purchase on steep ice without displacing to much ice. No balling up under foot. Once they are adjusted correctly they are secure as if you screwed them to your boots.

I think this crampon climbs well and works great. The one beef I have is that (for me) it's super difficult to go from mono point to dual point configuration or vice versa. You also have to cut the plastic on the bail in order to do this. Not something you can do in the field. I really wanted this to be a crampon I could take on a trip, do some mixed climbing (mono point config), and then the next day do a big long water ice climb (dual point config), but I have found it too difficult to change configuration.

The Cyborg's are a great crampon for vertical ice. I would consider myself an intermediate ice climber (climbing grade 3/4 ice) and these crampons make me look good! I would reccommend them to anyone. They fit my boots perfectly, they feel rigid while climbing and I have not had to sharpen them after several uses.
