Although there are lighter trekking poles available, these are tough. I have now used these on several occasions in rough conditions and they have saved me from backpack faceplants multiple times. The abuse that I have thrown at these would have broken or bent any of the previous poles that I owned.

The handles on these are awesome. They're lightweight and super comfortable. My wife and I never hike without them. As I've gotten older and accumulated injuries, they're mandatory.

These walking sticks are light, easy to set-up and use. Having broken my ankle and now with two titanium plates I needed a good quality set of walking stick that aided my walking/hiking as I did want ro be limited. These walking stick are high quality and comfortable to use. I'd recommend buying these sticks as you do get what you pay for.

My fourth set of Black Diamond trekking poles and my second Alpine Carbon Cork. Love these poles, lightweight and functional. I have great confidence with these poles when I'm on the trail.

I love my Alpine trekking poles. The new adjusting clasp work great. My last pair lasted 9 years and i expect the same quality in this pair.

Pros: excellent weight, strong, shock reducing, comfortable and practical. The best versatile poles in the market. Cons: the snow baskets via black diamond are terrible The cork has failed in spots after 1. 5 seasons The locking mechanisms have failed me on many occasions, they fall off when skiing and bootpacking in steep snow they are also prone to catching rocks and bushes unlocking the poles and losing the flint lock too (and the end of your pole). The locking mechanism is also prone to jamming and freezing in alpine conditions. The tool that adjusts the tension of these flint locks are the world's smallest Allen key (like half a milliliter in size it's so small that adjusting them with gloves or cold hands or even at home is difficult) making adjustments and fixing in the field next to impossible and impractical. Overall great but needs better locking mechanisms

Such an upgrade! lightweight, durable, easily adjustable - can't wait to put these to use on winter snowshoe hikes!

I chose these over others because of the nice cork handles, soft but burly straps, and their easy adjustability. I haven't used them yet but I fully expect they will be pretty sweet on the trail.

These poles are the best! I have used them multiple times with a heavy pack and they have saved the strain on my knees! They are light, strong, and packable. I love their adjustability. They make hiking fun again! I highly recommend these to anyone seeking more stability in the outdoors!

Made my hikes easier, especially when going downhill as it eases the pressure on the knees. Its very robust and lightweight. A good addition when packing light and you need a trekking pole.

These are lightweight, easy to use, an sturdy. I'm so happy with this purchase and I can't wait to use them on the PCT in 2026! It would be awesome to get that 100$ gift card.

Bought them for a Mtn Goat hunt in BC. Taking a tarp tent, so the poles will be doing triple duty. (Hiking poles, tent poles, and glassing shelter support in the rain. ) If things go well they may get used as shooting sticks.

They're great! Easy to adjust on the fly from going uphill to downhill. The tips stick as good as you could reasonably expect on slick rock and they are very wear resistant. I've caught myself a few times with a 60 pound pack and they kept me upright! Can't really ask for much more.

When I was backpacking in my early 20s I always went without trekking poles. Recently scored permits for Mt. Whitney and knew that trekking poles would be essential. Bought these and they were great! Light weight, comfortable in the hands. Couldn't have made it up (or down) without them.

The poles are excellent. It's that tiny 1. 5 mm allen wrench that you need in order to adjust the locking tabs. That bothers me. I aways have to carry one, don't drop it in the grasses on a mountain you'll never find it. Don't really want to duck tape it to one of the poles. They could have at least sent a handful of them.

Lightweight carbon and Cork handles are amazing. Cork makes all the difference on those hot days when sweat is a factor.

They're very nice. very light with the tech tips on them. Better than the tip protectors. Moved to the Tetons for the summer. So they are getting used. Wolf creek yesterday (easy) Middle Teton tomorrow ??

I had a pair and loved them but lost them due to being a space cadet. I was hesitant to shell out the cash for a new pair, so I went with a cheaper pair of Lekis. The Lekis are fine, but I always missed my BD carbon cork poles. I finally buckled and got a new pair of BDs. The cork grip is solid and substantial and allows the grip to gradually shape to your hand. The flick lock system is secure and easy to operate. And I like the lightweight carbon construction. I've jammed them into talus when moving quickly and was afraid I'd break one but they are very durable.

Everything BD sells is well made including their Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles. The new FlickLock® Pro adjustability is a real improvement and much easier to use than previous versions. The Solution straps are considerably more durable than former versions. However, Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles do not come with powder baskets and I had to purchase powder baskets separately.

Been using these poles for years. Used on the PCT in 2022. Light and strong. Can't go wrong with these.

I love my new poles. They replaced older same item, but Black Diamond fixed two things I didn't like in the older ones-the fasteners don't have that plastic that always broke off, and I like the tundra color better than the white. I lost one of the old poles, or I would have kept using them. Both sets of poles light, strong, and in my older age provide stability in hiking, especially in rougger terrain. Cheers.

Frankly I was a little skeptical at first whether the price was going to be supported by the value, but I can safely say that this is one of my better gear purchases in a long time. Build quality is exceptional and they have functioned flawlessly for me so far. I would highly recommend.

WOWZA!!!

The absolute best. Hands down. Cork grips, CF shaft, everything is top-notch. The only problem with the 2018 version involved the plastic cover for its locks, which Black Diamond fixed in their redesigned version. Well done!
These are awesome

These are my first hiking poles. I have joint pain all over but these poles made me stable enough to hike to a local waterfall with my family. They were very light and the handles stayed grippy throughout the hike. They made the impossible possible and we had such a great time.
