I bought this retro style battery for my semi antique ion headlamp, which I have lovingly restored with new elastic, toggle and now working battery. The ion is still BY FAR the greatest mini headlamp ever made, by any manufacturer, EVER. Hands down, no competition. The one shown here is from roughly circa 2001. Now all happily powered up. Thank you BD for decades of use on early Ultralight gear. Before it was hipster to do that sorta thang.

I purchased four of these for my Ion headlamp. Black diamond offers this extremely hard to find and usually expensive battery for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately one of the batteries I received was corroded and was dead. All the other ones either work or appear to be fine though.

Shipping took along time, but worth it. I remember when these batteries used to cost $18 for my Canon A1 film camera. zNow BD sells them 5 for $10. I purchased these for a BD headlamp that I gave to my wife. She will use this in those rare instances when she is outside and needs light.
