uh huh

I like it - it's my 3rd. The first is pretty old and kinda worn out. The second not that old but got kinda ripped up by a sharp edge on a sunscreen tube that I'd brought in to warm up - no more sharp edges. For a long time I was frustrated with all the cords but I'm sold now. However, I wonder what to do with them when it comes to it's time for the laundry - you know to keep from getting a tangled mess

How do I love thee, let me count the ways

What happens when 10,000 angels spin the most pure silk ever and then blow it down with a kiss to us earthly mortals? Big Agnes makes the most luxurious, comfortable bag you've ever met. Every single time I crawl into this bag I squeal with delight. It's seriously the best bag I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot). Life is full of seasons and for me there are two main ones that this sleeping bag makes even better: Porch Season and Mountain Season. Porch Season runs from April-December. It's that time of year when we move our sleeping bodies outside and sleep on the, you guessed it, porch. If it's really chilly or damp I throw a wool blanket over my bag and I'm just toasty as can be. Mountain Season is from May-November and is, you guessed it, in the mountains. This bag packs so small I can carry it in one saddle bag (which aren't as big as you think) with my horse. I use a waterproof compression bag to really get it small. The first season I used this bag with two Big Agnes insulated pads and it was awesome--due to the incredible engineering on the backside the pads never slip apart. I then upgraded to a Big Agnes insulated double pad and it's even just as great. My husband and I share this bag if it's just us or, if it's me and my kids, we all pile in. Everyone loves it. I could wax poetic about this bag for 100 years--suffice to say, it's the cat's pajamas and you won't regret it.

a car campers dream!

I own a 2007 Honda Element and I wanted a no build bed option for all seasons. It fits like a glove in the back of my car! It sleeps so comfortable with the Captain Comfort pad. I found myself waking up completely forgetting that I'm car camping in the winter with how much comfort it provided. Serious game changer!

Love the lightweight warmth

I love this sleeping bag for backpacking with my partner. So light and packs down really small. Works very well with the BA copper spur UL 3 and the BA double wide tent floor pad. The only con is that I am a cold sleeper and it's not quite as warm as I would like in the shoulder seasons. Thankfully my partner helps keep me warm too!

Better than before!

The zip feature and new pat attachment system is far superior to the previous version. Yes, I have the previous version too.

Soooooo comfy.

I am a 5'9" 165 lbs male, and my partner is a 5'2" 130 lbs female. The sleeping bag is very comfortable and kept us very warm in the Uintahs in the late fall, when it was in the mid 20s at night. We fit two large pillows easily within the top and didn't feel cramped at all. It is very large, so attaching it to the pad by myself took a bit. Definitely have another person help you set it up to save time. If you are a heavier set person, it will probably be more cramped. We fit comfortable and snug, but I really don't know how much space there would be for taller people weighing over 225-250 pounds. My buddy that size got in to try it out and was uncertain if his (taller) girlfriend would also fit.

Another excellent product

I had been eyeing this bag but couldn't quite justify the cost since I already had a double quilt that served a similar purpose. But when I found it on sale I snatched it up and I'm so glad I did. It is such a warm and cozy bag - I usually share it with my son since he's small and doesn't take up much space. But now he tries to steal it for himself. We even used it at a rentable forest service cabin from the 1930s - it fit perfectly over the twin bed. Very happy with my purchase - it's totally worth it!

This bag convinced my husband of winter camping

I am a career winter guiding professional with two young children. This is the winter sleep system that convinced my husband that we can keep it up as a family! There's room for the youngest in the bag with us if she gets too cold on her own. It is lightweight, packable, plenty warm for New England temps and as comfy as our bed at home. We've been comfortable in temps down to 10 degrees with no special accommodations. Only complaint is that the fabric catches in the zippers-- we simply avoid using them, which solves the issue.

Super light and packable for a doublewide

The top is super soft and cozy, but the overall width is too narrow for two people to lie on their backs and not feel squeezed. The system set is functional but it would be nice have a little bit of padding or fill on the bottom between you and the sleeping pad, not for warmth but for comfort. With nothing but a sheet of nylon there it feels a little lumpy and plasticky.

Comfy double sleeping bag

I have yet to use this, but plan to soon. Design seems well thought out, and feels like a bed when paired with the right pad. Time will tell, but the only thing I would like differently would be that a double sleeping bag liner was offered to keep it clean but not enough to remove a star

Nice bag. Just a couple items I'd like to see changed.

Nice bag with a great feel. I'm using it in a Vanagon and it fits the bunk topper relatively well. When using it without a topper/pad, the string/base system is a bit awkward. Unzipped and used as a blanket, or single bag, I really wish that the hood portion wasn't left attached to the string/base system. It makes the bag significantly shorter and less warm. I also kinda wish that there was a foot box (similar to the hand pockets but larger) at the bottom of the bag (like the Thermarest Vela).

Warm and High Quality

Love this bag. Have used at 0* F several times and couldn't have asked for more. I don't know what kind of sleeping Pad is supposed to fit inside the sleeping Bag, but my Exped Synmat duo hl was way too big to fit. No problem, the bag is as warm as it needs to be and I have never had any issues with the bag getting flipped or becoming uneven on me or my girlfriend. We even love to camp out in the living room with our sleeping pad with this bag. It's so comfortable and it has that kinda plastic-y outer material that you just want to engulf your face with (it's like laying on bathroom tile when not feeling well). I truly love this bag, the only downside was that my pad didn't fit, but I'm sure I could've checked that if it was going to be a dealbreaker to me. I'll probably never need another bag, but if I do it'll be an Agnes!

I tell everyone about this bag

Decided to write a review because I tell every backpacking couple I know to buy this bag. I am always cold but can winter backpack with my partner and be cozy because of this bag. In summer, it's still perfect because the zippers on both sides let us both have as much air as we need. Also, it packs down to the same size as a single bag and stays warm inside while still feeling roomy. Seriously, there's no con to this bag and we both get excited to sleep in our little camp bed. If you're debating if you actually need this, you do!!

Great doubles sleeping bag system

I've only used this bag during summer months thus far, but I can tell you it is warm, comfortable, easy to set up, and packs up small and lightweight. One has to consider this is a doubles bag when I say small and light. The ability to unzip the top on both sides helps so each person can regulate their temperature helps. I have two small cons. I put the system together in the house to fully understand it. When fully unzipped, I struggled to get the zippers to reconnect as there are two zippers on each side. After zipping and unzipping each one several times, they appear to break in and function as they should. Both sides were like this. The other semi-con is that the hood area is always down. There isn't really a good way to get it out of the way if it's not needed. It was basically used as an additional pillow cover. If it was cold out, then this is no big deal. The other noticeable issue is the material shows skin oils really easy. I like how the pack bag helps compact it for travel. The travel bag even has a flap to put over the top to help protect the system. The stuff sack is nice once home to help keep the system airy. This is the best bag I've ever owned!

Down fill Big Agnes System bags with Flex Pad Sleeve built for two
Like your own bed in the backcountry! Big Agnes King Solomon 20 Degree is part of Big Agnes Doublewide Series, eliminating the need to zip two bags together so there's nothing keeping you apart from your cuddle bug at camp. Constructed with soft, recycled materials and insulted with 650 Downtek water-repellent down that repels water while maintaining insulating properties and loft for a cozy, warm top layer.

The new Pad Cinch System makes connecting two pads or securing a doublewide pad easier and faster than ever. Now with a full zip off option, you can use the top quilted layer like a comforter or zip together to create a single bag when camping solo. The King Solomon 20 Degree double sleeping bag is more versatile for the most comfortable sleep experience for two.

King Solomon Creek was named after the richest of the Old Testament kings by early settler and optimistic prospector Robert McIntosh, who owned and operated a small mine there in 1876. The falls, difficult to get to and not found on a map, are both popular destinations for able-bodied locals in the know, and a great place to cool off if you are both adventurous and a little bit crazy. The trail is un-maintained, slippery and dangerous at high water.
