Great lightweight tent. A bit tight for 2 people as most 2p backpacking tents are but fantastic for a spacious 1p.

Extremely light. Easy to set up in any conditions. Doesn't require a large campsite. I've been through torrential rain, windstorms, and snow (I know it's a 3-season). I've never had any issues with it, still in great shape after a decade!

This is a great single entry tent. Granted, I use it as a 1 person tent, but that gives me tons of headroom, space and options to carry in the pack. It's plenty light and I don't have the windy issues that others seem to have. Less complicated than a 2 door tent and more space than a trekking pole tent, w/ a smaller footprint.

I'm through hiking the pct and have used this tent since the start of trail. Every day for 5 months this tent has been my home and there is never a day I'm not happy to crawl in. It's spacious and sturdy- even through the biggest storms we've had this year. It's light and durable and has even worked for me when camping in deep snow. I will love this tent for the rest of my life.

Great, lightweight tent for backpacking. Easy to set up, take down. After years of use it is still holding up well and "re-shock corded" the poles recently which was inexpensive and easy thanks to the video.

I have the prior model to this one and I love it. It is very light. It works well in light rain and wind. Survived the windy Patagonia (placed in a sheltered corner). I had a little tear in a wind storm in Utah but I got it patched. Light to medium rain will be fine, not tested in heavy rain yet. I recommend a tarp or some kind of cover under it as the material is very thin.

I've travelled with an earlier iteration of this tent extensively - since 2019. It's been camping in 14 or so countries with many months of use. The sealant is peeled off and hangs loose or has fully fallen. There are patched holes from a bear, wild cats, hail and poles. And it's still my tent. Yes, the leg part falls right over in heavy wind, and the fly is built terribly at the leg area so that it becomes a cup for water and sticks to the inner - so any rain comes right on in onto the sleeping bag. These issues change and it'd be my go to again, yet even still might just be. Except I wouldn't buy black.

[Applies to the 2016 version] I've put ~120 nights on this tent (mostly on a multi-month bikepacking trip), plus ~30 nights that my friend put on it prior to me buying it from him, and amazingly it's still going strong (though has required some repair from me. The good: The bad: The repairs: The zippers wore out and would get stuck after ~100 nights, but replaced the sliders and they're good as new. The pole shock cord wore out which eventually resulted in cracks from the pole segments not being fully mated.

[This review applies to the 2016 version] I've put ~150 nights on this tent plus ~30 that my friend put on it Before I bought it from him and it's still going strong (after repairs). The good: It is very light. It is well made. It doesn't weight much. See the video of it turning into a water bed when I chose a poor tent site in an unexpected downpour. But I was totally dry inside. It sets up in just a couple of minutes. Very low weight. It has been quite durable. Lightweight. The bad: The single entrance by the head requires you to do a bit of contorting to get in and out, especially if there is already one person inside. The vestibule gets cramped if you're trying to fit two people's worth of gear inside. The fly always touches the walls unless you have an ideal site with trees to tie the guy lines to. Especially near the foot which can result in damp sleeping bags in the morning from condensation. Not freestanding. Need to be able to stake the feet no matter what. Annoying when camping on sand or slickrock (as is often the case in southern Utah). Is very direction-dependent for robustness against wind. If you pitch it inline with the wind direction it's fine. If it's perpendicular it gets pushed over quite easily and it's extremely difficult to stake it out to prevent this due to the geometry. The repairs: The shock cord wore out eventually which resulted in cracks in the poles from not being fully mated. Replaced the pole section and shock cord and it's great now. Would have been avoided if I had replaced the shock cord sooner. Zippers wore out and got suck / separated. Replaced the sliders and it's good as new. The fly needs to be retaped. Haven't done it yet. Still doesn't leak as far as I've noticed. Overall: If you want the lightest tent and that's 90% of what you care about, this is for you. If you want significantly better quality of life, I highly recommend the copper spur instead.

I got this tent several years ago and love how lightweight, sturdy and easy to set up it is. It held up in a fierce high altitude Rocky Mountains thunderstorm that also gave us some hail and all night rain and wind. But what's better is that the shock cords were stretched out and broken and I sent them in for repair and now it's like a brand new tent and also the service and repair fees were super- Nothing but good things to say here-

I am extremely happy with my Hyperbead Fly Creek UL2, and can't wait to do some long distance hiking with it in the near future. It is up to the highest standards of Big Agnes gear, and Big Agnes' customer service personnel are always professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Big Agnes is my number 1 "go to" for gear,

Great lightweight tent. A bit tight for 2 people as most 2p backpacking tents are but fantastic for a spacious 1p.
Ultralight Performance Redefined
This award-winning three-season, front-entry, ultralight tent is designed for backpackers who prioritize weight savings and durability. Built with advanced HyperBead fabric technology, it is 6% lighter, 25% more waterproof, and 65% stronger than traditional materials. With a weight under two pounds and a high-volume DAC Featherlite NFL pole architecture, this tent makes the perfect companion for backcountry adventures.
Spacious, Organized, and Weather-Protected
Enjoy ample livable space with structured stake-supported foot end corners and a single-door head-entry design with a dry-entry vestibule to keep your gear safe from the elements. Additional features like the ceiling pocket, large side pockets, and multiple interior loops help you stay organized, with options to attach gear lofts, accessories, or mtnGLO Tent & Camp Lights.
Ventilation and Setup Made Easy
Optimized airflow is ensured with double sliders on vestibule zippers, reducing condensation for a more comfortable experience. The TipLok Tent Buckle simplifies setup with secure pole tip capture, rainfly attachment, and tensioning. To extend the life of the tent and enable fast fly compatibility, a Big Agnes footprint is recommended (sold separately).
Care Instructions
Storage
Always make sure your tent is dry and free of debris before storing. Fold and roll your tent a different way each time to avoid permanent creases. Store in a cool, dry place. Never leave your tent in hot temperatures (such as a car trunk or attic space) for long periods of time, as it will damage the material coatings. Storing your tent damp can result in mildew growth, which may cause your tent to smell, leak, or delaminate. Mildew damage is not covered under warranty.
Cleaning
For light cleaning, sponge the product with warm water (not hot).
For more thorough cleaning you will need
Wash basin (or bath tub)-Warm water (not hot)
Waterproof Gear Cleaner (Big Agnes recommend products like Nikwax Tech Wash)
Sponge
Submerge your gear in warm, clean water. Gently agitate with hands. Empty dirty water. Repeat until most of the excess dirt/grime is removed and water is mostly clear
Apply waterproof gear specific wash and gently work into fabric with sponge
Rinse gear thoroughly
Hang it up to dry
Triple check that your gear is completely dry before storage or use
Do not dry clean or machine-wash. Detergents and dry cleaning solvents will damage the fabric and ruin waterproofing
Never use hot water, bleach, liquid detergents, or dishwashing liquids
Allow to dry COMPLETELY before storage or use
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight as UV exposure can compromise waterproofing
Seam Sealing
Big Agnes tents are seam sealed as part of their manufacturing process! This seam tape alone is durable enough to prevent water leakage. Any seams that have been taped do not need to be seam sealed with a liquid sealer unless you want extra protection. Make sure the seam-sealer is completely dry before re-packing your tent. Damage caused by misapplication may void warranty.
Zippers
Keeping your zippers clean will help keep the coils and sliders from wearing out. If filled with dirt, vacuum or brush zippers before storing tent. Big Agnes recommend Gear Aid Zipper Cleaner and Lubricant.
