Items arrived just as advertised, would like a pouch for all of it to protect the mirror, right now lives in heavy plastic bag in my PFD pocket. Haven't had to get rescued yet, but am confident it would help if needed.

A quality mirror is the ultimate fail-proof daytime signaling device - no emergency kit should be without one. The Hot Shot takes emergency signaling to the next level with its holographic "red-dot" viewing window that quickly finds the optimum sighting "spot" for a bright, focused signal. When target image, mirror and sun are in proper alignment, red dot on target ensures mirror reflection is on target. Telescope quality second surface reflective mirror is bright, provides focused image. Mirror includes a buoyant float for easy recovery if dropped overboard and patented whistle (meets USCG) for audible alerting in low visibility conditions.
The pea-less dual tone whistle was developed for the U.S. Navy to locate overboard persons; this compact survival whistle issues a shrill, 102 decibel dual tone that is audible over great distances. The unique, flat design keeps it from holding water. Mirror and whistle included a lanyard for securing to person or life raft, simple, total safety signaling package. The mirror measures 4.25" x 2.75" x.19" (10. 8cm x 7 cm x .48 cm), whistle 1" x 2" x .25" (2.5 cm x 5 cm x 6 cm) and the set weighs 3.2 oz. (91 g).
