I used this for some spring camping in the southwest. We had below freezing temperatures at night and I didn't feel cold from the ground at all. I stayed warm and was perfectly comfortable sleeping on my side. It's easy to unroll, blow up, and then roll back up and pack away.

Since I haven't been able to go camping this past year I've used it as a "guest bed" and it's been great! It's kept inflation well and from all reports is quite comfy.

I have used this pad on Summer nights, winter nights, in my bivy, tent, ground tarp, and on the sand. It makes a good ground cover. I an getting ready to go on the PCT and will need to repair the six perforations in the pad that I received during my January mountain climbing trip. Yes, my back got cold. Maybe I have the wrong side down. At the time of purchase, my son worked for a well known outdoors store. He recommended that I not purchase it due to similar complaints. Maybe alligator skin on one side will help?

I have used this sleeping pad for about a month (Camping) and I love it. A good combination of enough cushioning, but compact and lightweight. The valve is a new version from previous, but it's easy to use and I have had no problems with it.

I've been using this sleeping pad for 2 weeks straight and am very happy with it so far. I replaced my very old sleeping pad with this one and am pleased with how much more compactable and light weight it is. It's definitely on the shorter side, and I find my feet hanging off of the end some times (I'm 5'4"), but part of that is because I put my pillow on top of the pad. If I kept my pillow off the pad I'd fit just fine. I also really like the wings that help deflate the sleeping pad. They're easy to use make the stowing processing much quicker.

24 years ago we bought a thermarest matress. This matress is never been punctured and in good condition. The Thermarest trail lite however has been punctured four times in five years already four times. These two matresses are used under exact the same conditions in the last four years Luckely it's still had an acceptable insulating on the ground but it's not comfortable. I could just as well have used my old celfoam matress. It has very good insulating it's also hard on the ground but it's indestructible and much cheaper! So it's comfortable and insulating but gets punctured much to easy.

It is not light nor the warmest one. But it is the best middle ground. So good that about 80% of my outdoorsy friends are using it. 3 years of extensive use and this thing looks like brand new (I do take proper care of my equipment). Sleep is as comfortable as it gets, I cannot imagine not to have this thing with me. Used in + 30 C temps and all the way to - 7 C - it did it job perfectly.

I love how easy to use and lightweight this sleeping pad is! It folds up easily and inflates in just a few breaths. It has quickly become a gear staple for colder weather camping.

Very comfortable. It makes the difference on long trips. It developed a delamination bubble after more than 150 nights of use, but never an air leak. I sent it to the service center and got a new one in the mail 2 weeks later.

Being able to regulate the perfect firmness of my Thermarest mattress cured my sciatica (sciatic neuralgia) when nothing else including doctors could. It has been a real godsend for me over the past many years allowing me to do all the things I love to do. At first I tried other mattresses but nothing works better than Thermarest. Great product!!

I've bought my Thermarest Trail Lit half a year ago and I'm still as excited about it as the day I bought it. I've used the matress on many music festivals. After strolling around the festival all day I'm glad that I can go to sleep on a high quality, durable and warm matress. I used to bring a bulky 2 person air matress for me and my boyfriend. But now we both have a thermarest. It packs down easy and is very light. Just put it in your bag and you're good to go. I recommend this product to everyone!

I have put many nights on this pad. Its been on multi-day canoe trips in Tennessee, on a week long whitewater rafting trip through the wilderness of southeastern Oregon, on many backpacking trips on the coast, in the mountains, the desert and all around the Columbia River Gorge! Lately its been exploring the southern Rockies. I have never had a single issue with it losing air or for not self inflating. In fact the only issue I have had was when I laid it too close to the campfire this past winter and burned several holes in it. 2 of them clear through both sides of the pad. I thought it was done but still had another night to sleep on a flat pad before hiking out. I gobbed some aqua seal over ther holes and allowed it to set up. It worked! Holds air just as good as it always did. Now I have 3 or 4 trips on the patched pad and its as good as new! Hopefully I won't be buying a new sleeping pad any time soon but if I do you can bet it'll be a Thermarest!

I have owned this mattress for a few years now and have taken it on countless overnights. The mattress is very comfortable, warm, and has held up well for me. It is on the heavier side if you are hiking a long ways where the ounces matter, but is a very versatile option without breaking the bank.

I bring this with me everywhere. It has been on multiple adventures this summer. It is light and easy to pack. Easy to blow up and deflate. 3 of my fellow campers have followed suit with thermarest this summer and never looked back! Thanks for the great night sleep!

Sleep it essential and very important part of exit campaign, to this question I approached very seriously. Too many disappointments were with choice of the rug in the last years and is necessary warranty that it question will be settled time and on always. For me such requirements to the rug was important as: 1-ease 2-strength is 3-comfort and 4th use in any weather conditions. All 4 parameters were performed fortunately and I even would say, exceeded, a few times I used rug on water, for the sake of entertainment, to swim for a while))) It my one of the best purchases for campaign and travel.

Was my first mattress purchase for when I started backpacking\camping. I wasn't a huge fan of it, some nights it was okay others were worse. Might be my body doesn't like air mattresses. I currently use a RidgeRest and love it.

I bought this a few years ago and it's still in great condition. This camping air mattress has traveled from the High Peaks in the Adirondacks to NYC. It's never needed a patch and I've always have had a great nights rest. It's really easy to let it self inflate (or add air yourself if you're in a rush). I used this mattress thru hiking the High Peaks in upstate NY it was the middle of November with below 25 degree weather and it worked great. The mattress never lost air or cracked from the cold conditions and it kept me warmer. I know sleeping on the ground can be uncomfortable but it doesn't have to be if you use this air mattress. I have always slept well using this even if the conditions outside aren't so nice.

I bought this matress 6 years ago for a trip to Svällbard, Norway. We had to buy a therm-a-rest because of the aircirculation. It sleeps amazing and has survived all the festivals and campingtrips ever since! I'm so glad, i bought this matress. Because on festivals you really need your sleep and this matress sleeps as my own bed. Nothing but love for my yellow submarine, not only does it sleep like heaven, you roll it up so easy and it is amazingly small.

I bought this for car camping at mountain bike races. It really adds enough comfort to get a decent nights sleep in the back of my Pontiac vibe. It also packs up nice and small so I can stow it in the floor of one of the back seats with my duffel and other gear

The pad is not heavy doesn't take up too much room and does a decent job of keeping you warm but it's too slippery so if you camp on a slope you will eventually slide off it. That is my main reason for giving it only 3 stars since if you cant stay on top of it then it isn't really doing its job.

I've owned this mattress for about 3 years now and it has proven to provide a comfortable enough sleep on the cold hard ground while tenting. I use a combination of a bivy sack, the thermarest mattress, a self-inflating pillow and of course a sleeping bag when tenting. The bivy sack keeps the mattress and sleeping bag clean and dry... and helps to keep me from shifting too far off the mattress if I'm tossing and turning in my sleep. Keeps the mattress and sleeping bag nicely together. The mattress inflates fairly quick as I keep it inflated, tucked away under the bed when not in use. And it is also pretty easy to deflate and roll away when packing up and heading home. I hope this mattress provides me with many more years of comfort. :-) S.H.

I picked up two of these at a garage sale and am very happy with them. They stay well inflated, pack up reasonably small and best of all they're comfortable, more so than I imagined them being. Good value, especially for a garage sale find!

Simple, lightweight, and comfortable.

I've been using the Thermarest Trail Lite regularly for over a year. I originally purchased it because it could be rolled up quite small for backpacking and was a bit thicker, when inflated, than the simple closed cell foam pad I'd used previously. Since you can adjust the thickness by adding extra air it tends to be more comfortable than the foam ones. But when deflated and stored in the included stuff sack it takes a lot less space in my pack. They are reliable and the material that they ...

A excelent product for a fair price.

Me and my wife used the Trail Lite during a 4 months trip in Patagônia. The product is well designed and worked great in every terrain we used it. We faced cold and hot days, sun and rain, still I got nothing to complain about our nights of sleep. The touch of the material is pretty good and feels very tough, we had no problems with holes or something like that.
Stricking a balance between lightweight and comfortable, the Trail Lite mattress is a self-inflating sleeping pad that will make it super easy to get a good night's rest while you're out in the backcountry. The Trail Lite Mattress features die-cut foam to reduce bulk and weight, and a self-inflating valve provides convenience and ease of use. Supreme durability and the ability to be used in nearly all conditions make this a timeless favorite for outdoor lovers of all stripes. Sleeping area is increased thanks to its rectangular shape and makes for a superior, gap-free mating with other sleeping pads. A handy stuff sack comes included.
