Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Pack Cover

Even though it did not rain or snow on a recent high Sierra backpack trip, the ultra-sil pack cover served admirably as ground protection for my pack in the tent foyer. This is the first time I've used a pack cover this way, but it won't be the last. Not only did it protect my pack, but it helped corral the contents.

I had bag for a little over 3 months and it hasn't aged a bit. It's fully waterproof, I've been trapped in massive storms hitting Michigan as of late and my backpack never got soaked whenever I had this on. It's also slick which helps putting it into its little baggie. Small, durable and affordable: what more could anyone want? It does the job perfectly!

The pack cover is great. I bought it to replace the cover that came with my Osprey pack. While it is not 100% waterproof in a day of drizzle, it's better than the Osprey model, plus I really like the strap to secure it to my pack in cases of high winds. I have bought 3 (one for each of my packs).

Purchased the XL size, fits my RBC Paddler pack perfectly. Packs down nicely in it's own attached storage bag. Haven't been out in any rain, yet, but would put it on my pack overnight when humidity was high in the BWCA and it kept any condensation off of the pack.

I purchased this pack cover for my 9 day hike on the West Coast Trail. Out of the 9 days the last 4 it poured rain. An atmospheric river is what the weather station calls it. This pack cover kept my backpack dry even through these west coast torrents. Great pack cover

This is great for backpacking just be aware it is super thin (that's why it's so light). I was dumb and put it around a pack that had an ice axe and it punched right through. Nothing a little tape didn't fix. It was extremely waterproof and my pack stayed dry through constant rain on Mt baker

This is the third Sea to Summit backpack rain cover I've purchased over the years - for my third backpack. The covers fully cover and fit securely over the pack. They are very effective against the rain. I will only buy Sea to Summit backpack covers.

Well designed, fits over 28-30 liter packs perfectly. Shock cord design will help hold in place in high wind better than other rain covers. We should have had these for the wild weather we experienced in Iceland!

The medium size 50-70l JUST fit over an osprey exos 48l with a lightweight tent in the outside pocket. Be aware of total pack size including external add-ons like tents or whatever when choosing the correct size. Was definitely a tight but good fit.

Great cover, lightweight and compressible. Designed with attachment strap, drain hole and clip. I use mine as a pack cover while hiking and packrafting. Useful as a gear tarp too!

Does the job and plus. Packs to nothing and is fantastic keeping the elements out. The elastic rim keeps a tight fit, I wish it had both elastic and a cinch option. Sometimes the pack isn't full. Great product all the way.

Working as a guide, I need to have my climbing gear ready day after day, This is a great little item to have to be keep everything dry and ready for tomorrow. It packs up really small, and it?s lightweight, so there?s no excuse not to bring it.

This little pack cover was not originally my first choice, but ended up being the perfect option for my pack. It packs down small, but easily unpacks and fully covers my pack. It also sits secure even when pushing through overgrown trails. Not sure what else one could want in a cover, but this one handles the job.

Must have item in the PNW. I am buying my second one after six years of abuse. I?ve even used my pack as a sled down snow fields with it on. I flip it around to cover the straps at night and even in heavy rain (under my shelter) it worked flawlessly. Finally wore a hole in it this last fall.

I was gifted the large version which actually came in at 4.2 oz. not 4.6 as listed. It looks very well made and the material looks to be high quality. The only issue I have with it is, I think the drawcord and hardware are unnecessarily over-sized and heavy, in relation to the rest of the product. If it was made with the same size cord as the stuff sack, or even smaller, then I would consider it ultralight. In an ultralight setting I accomplish the minimum requirements with a trash compactor bag, at a much lower weight penalty, so in it's current form this will either get modified or chopped up to make something more useful. Now if you're not going ultralight, I'd say this is an excellent product. My S2S long handled aluminum spoon is one of my favorite pieces of gear though!
