Perfect size for individual use. Food does not stay warm though in cold conditions which sucks when you're force feeding at altitude. The thumb rest is awesome.

Love these bowls! They're great keeping food warm while I'm out backpacking. Also great for keep bugs away. Mountain house is great in them too because it seals the hot moisture in. Great product!

I've used the Delta Bowl & Cover in combination with a radiused squeegie/scraper tool (similar to the OXO model) on 7 treks since 2018 because it provides a simple & efficient solution to rehydrating trail food and cleaning up after for one dinner. After eating all I can lift out with a spoon, I use the squeegie all around the bowl to eat what's left. Then add a little water and and use the wet squeegie a couple of times to clean the bowl completely and drink this rinse water so that no food or water goes on the ground, where it can attract bugs & bears, and none is wasted. A quick wipe with a clean rag removes the last drop or two of water. The o-rings are a little hader to clean if they get dipped in food but a wet toothbrush can be used here without wasting much water. For hiking without a stove I can add cold water to food a couple of hours ahead of meal time, pack the covered bowl near the top of my backpack, and keep the pack upright while continuing to hike. Although there's no way to clamp the lid shut, for packing with wet food inside, the triple o-ring makes a pretty reliable water-tight seal and I put the bowl in a zip-lock bag, just in case, but it has never leaked when used this way during 2 treks. For me, the advantage of the Delta bowl is that the round contours and rigidity might be easier to clean quickly without wasting any water than X-bowls, which I haven't tried yet. Other advantages are light weigh for its size, and you get a plate (the lid) with the deal. And to save pack space you can store something inside the bowl when not in use, either with the lid on or nested neatly under the bottom of the bowl. I think it's a smart design overall.

I love the construction of the bowl and lid. I take it out with my salad every time a go out on my outings. It keeps my meals fresh and so CONVIENT without transporting other containers or bowls

Used this bowl on my 30 day expedition through the Winds with NOLS this summer. Great for keeping leftovers from breakfast or lunch to eat for lunch. Great size for a good amount of food but not too much, also great size for storing cut cheese in. Really easy to clean, the groves in the lid suction system where sometimes hard to clean however. The seal on the lid with the bowl is so great it was impossible to open when I brought it down from 10,500' back to sea level that I had to boil it to unseal it.

TI bought the Delta bowl w/ lid so hot food can stay hot longer by keeping the lid on, until ready to eat. In addition, if I'm slicing up fruit, or whatever, the lid will keep things from drying out and most importantly, keep the bugs out. Plus, I plan on using the lid as a "makeshift" plate.

Not yet tried, but purchased for backpacking. Plan is to have for eating out of and liked the lid for those times where you need to transport leftovers or tender fruit or veggies. Really like the size and lid. Sure it will be terrific!

Bowl and lid are well made and good quality. Cleaned up well. They are not collapse-able which is why I went with a 4 vs 5. I just started using so need to see how the carry and hold up.

I used this to reheat mountain house meals (since I repacked them into ziplocs to save space). It worked perfectly!! The lid kept everything secured while reheating and the bowl never got too hot to handle. 100 percent recommend!!

I use my Sea to Summit bowls and plate every day. They are so lightweight I have no problems moving them from fridge to microwave which, at age 95,I cannot do easily with regular dishes. I use the lower half for my main meal and the cover for my salad. Also, the color (orange) is so cheerful that it is a delight to eat out of and I keep them displayed in my kitchen.

This is a good-sized bowl for 1 person. It is sturdy and lightweight, and stands up just fine to boiling water being poured directly into it to rehydrate a meal - a more durable alternative to a freezer bag. The lid does not actually seal so I would not transport liquids or other "spillable" items in it. However the lid fits snugly and helps keep the food hot while it rehydrates in a pot cozy. The attached cord makes the lid easy to remove. The bowl is comfortable to hold even when the food is good and hot.

Great bowl! Perfect size. My only (minor) complaint is that I never use the thumb grip tab thing, and it gets in the way of stacking the bowl in a pot. Lid has alter egos as a plate and a cutting board, besides adding a convenient ?leftover dish? function. All good, but what motivates this review is the amazing breakfasts we enjoyed in a recent ?glamming? backpacking trip. The bowl?s flat bottom was perfect for slicing into pancakes and French toast, and the high sides corralled the tastiness and allowed a truly decadent amount of syrup to be consumed. It was the perfect vessel, and may be brought out for special occasions in the front country.

Never leave home without it! Lid serves as separate plate for sides. Stays closed while in your pack. Would recommend highly.

I'd give these full marks but the lids are a bear to use. They're tricky and finicky to secure in the first place and once you do wrestle them on tightly, you need the strength of Hercules and the dainty finger dexterity of Tinker Bell to remove them. I at least haven't had one come off yet. I also wish they were slightly larger in diameter to accommodate my Snow Peak spork inside but that's just nitpicking.

Purchased this to have a cooking prep plate and bowl for upcoming trips with groups where we are fixing meals in bulk. I like how well the lid seals and can store seasonings in there for my personal food. Its just a touch small to fit my Titanium spork, but i wouldn't want it to be any bigger so i'm ok with that.

Great size, multiple uses, and holds up well after years of use. I toss it around in bags and coolers, nothing inside leaks or gets crushed. Sea to Summit products are legit and I'll continue to use there products year after year for all my adventures.

Excellent backpacking bowl with lid. Used it on 12 day backpacking trip and glad i brought the lid with it. Combined (bowl w/ lid) makes for keeping food warm, used to rehydrate food without losing heat, and doubles as a plate, serving platter, clean place for utensils, etc. Definitely worth the weight in carrying the lid along with the bowl! Can always store small items inside as well while hiking. I untied the girth hitched string provided on the lid to tie the lid and bowl together thru the thumb holder on the bowl. Keeps them together with plenty of slack to stack or cover. Great backpacking bowl with lid!

I like that it is flexible and can fit in the motorcycle sidecase easily. Very light weight and feels good in my hands. The lid fits perfectly and will double as a plate when I need extra room, or just a clean spot to lay down my fork. Overall, extremely pleased with this purchase!!

Well, I haven?t used the bowl yet but it?s what I want for my pack when I work at fire camps in the summer. The only thing I may need to be careful of pulling the lid off when it is full of liquid...it may jump out and spill. L

Simple easy product, durable and easy to clean. I used to use a stainless steel bowl but more than once had accidental spills trying to hold it with gloves. The Delta gear fits well in your hands with gloves, and wont burn your hand if you don't have gloves on. Those were the two misses with older gear. We have two colors so that each of us knows which set belongs to which person. The insulated mug works great with hot chocolate w/Baileys or wine. Yes this is the best type of backpacking. I also have the lid for the bowl which keeps other small kitchen items together. Only con, originally I wanted the bowls to stack so that we could simply our cook set, they do not stack very well, but since we did get the lids and use it for storage too it doesn't matter. Again stainless or titanium is easier to clean, stronger and sometimes lighter, but I have burned my hand with metal bowls, and on -0 degree nights cooking with gloves, made a complete mess trying to hold those bowls. Which is why I am very happy with this series.

Great to pack with. Attach a carabiner and hook onto exterior of pack for easy access. Great construction with the loop built in (serves as a handle as well). Easy to use, bowls with lids are nice for when cooking/eating (keeping bugs out of bowl contents). Overall great product that I am very happy with.

The Delta bowl (with cover) and plate are a mainstay of my car-camping gear. Both are very durable, easy to clean, and easy to hold (including with gloves). The cover for the bowl is particularly helpful in spring/fall to keep instant oatmeal from cooling while it's soaking up water. The handy thumb tab is really great for getting a secure grip on my plate and bowl.
