I got these one sale for a good deal. I have have been looking for a low top, waterproof hiker. These felt great, wore comfortable, decent weight, andwaterproof. I wore them one time for a decent 20 mile hike. When I got home I was impressed. They seemed to be just what I was looking for. 5 Stars. Then I took them off. The soles were completely destroyed. Chunks of outsole rippedoff exposing soft insole. Lugs worn down to noting. What a letdown... I wanted these to work so much. But I sent them back. Customer service was fantastick, Shoes, not so much...

I use them primarily for walking and hiking in wet weather. I was concerned about breathability, as my feet sweat a lot. However, they breathe enough that I also use them in 70 degree (and below) dry weather as well. I use them with "Smart Wool" socks for the best breathability. I like the look of the rounded soles and they match my walking style and stride well. I think the quality of the shoes matches or exceeds the quality of Merrill shoes, which I think are great shoes as well. Very lightweight. The lightest shoes I've ever worn. Handsome styling.

This is my second pair of footwear from oboz and I am very pleased so far. The fit may feel stiff and clunky at first but will break in and mold to your foot nicely. My favorite feature is the bfit footbed system. They fit my arches well and don't need to swap for expensive after market insoles. This is my go to show for almost everything and is helping correct a minor case of plantar fasciitis. I listed lack of breath ability as a con but I feel these shoes are no worse than any other w/b shoe I have used. Btw oboz will send new laces if needed...good company!!

I bought these after having much success with Oboz's hiking boots. The left foot even after worn in still has a tight feel in the middile upper front of my foot. Also these laces are the ony laces I have ever owned that un-tie even when double knotted.

This is my daily use shoe for fall and spring. One review stated that they ran narrow. So I bought 1/2 size larger. Still snug. Hopefully in time they will stretch. Other than that the shoe is good.

Oboz seem to be kind of a little known secret. One day a few years ago I happened to run across the brand and I've had a pair ever since. They never disappoint and hold up very well.

These boots fit me great. The seven sets of lace holes really hold my feet in place. I tried on two other low hiking shoes and these Oboz firebrand 2 shoes were way way better in fit, feel and support. The other low hiking shoes only had four or five sets of lace holes I decided to get a low hiking boot to replace using tennis shoes for outdoor activities in the country. Now I keep my tennis shoes cleaner.
