I average one pair of these a year. There isn?t another shoe that fits my lifestyle as much. They have good traction & the last year?s pair have lasted a whole year staying waterproof whereas the previous version would usually develop a leak around 7 or 8 months of continuous wear.

I've had 4 pairs of northface hedgehogs not including the newest version (fastback ii) all have lasted at least a year and a half, being worn 5 days a week around water and light chemicals (degreaser/acetone) They hold up very well, I do have to replace the insole about half way through.

I haven't had a chance to wear these on a trail. So far just bumming around town with packed snow. They gripped well, and obviously if there's a sheet of ice you need to be a bit careful. The one thing that drops a star off of these is that the ankle is a bit loose and slides a bit. I was going to figure out if I can do a runner's lacing strategy on them to fix this issue. These are definitely very warm when wearing wool socks, but I was up in the mountains so I wanted them to stay warm. I'll have to see in the summer time how they hold up on some light hikes/trails.

I'm a delivery driver and I need a sturdy shoe. The vibram sole is is great, not too flexible because that can fatigue your feet and not to stiff like a hiking boot. The extra covering around the toe helps protect the shoe from damage. Thanks for making a great shoe.

The shoe is very lightweight. Every step feels so smooth and firm, I use it for my daily runs and can feel the difference in comfort level. Feels warm and as they say is waterproof.

Avid disc golfer, these are not fit for disc golf. The seams on the sides gave out with the torque that comes with throwing a disc 450ft (easily). Did accidentally buy another pair and I'll wear those for light work and easy walking, they won't see the disc golf course.

I got these shoes for work. I'm in and out of truck all day so needed something well made and waterproof. Perfect fit and comfy right out of the box. It rained the first day I wore them and feet were dry all day.

These shoes are great. I bought them because I live in Colorado and like to hike. I had a lot of trouble with painful feet and bought these shoes to fix the problem. Last Saturday I took a 9 mile hike up 14er in them and my feet did not hurt at all! This is my second pair of North Face shoes and they are both great! I never been disappointed in the quality and durability of North Face products.

Good shoe, similar in style and feel to the original TNF Hedgehog (the one from 10 years ago, not the new fastpack). Haven't dunked it yet, but have gone through some mud puddles and the like. The tie points for the shoelaces are not as good, and I need to find a configuration that works best.

These shoes look very well made and are attractive. They did not fit me well due to the toe box being too constricted. Not sure why any hiking shoe would be designed with a narrow toe box. I was disappointed as I really wanted them to like them.

Excellent hiking shoes. Sturdy and waterproof as advertised. Light, rugged and comfortable. Would have rated ***** (five stars) had it not been a really poor quality of shoelaces. In the first three days of wear, the laces are falling apart. Since the shoe laces are color coordinated, I am not sure if the shoes will look as good with generic non color-coordinated laces. May be going to back to North Face. Expect more from NF.
