Rated 5 out of 5

Excellent Product

I bought this bag over a lower temp bag to reduce my carry weight for a 78 mile trek at Philmont. I am using warm sleeping clothes since I can wear those outside the tent if needed, and a warmer bag I cannot wear. My son & I tested these bags in windy wet conditions down to 35 F. He was toasty and I cool so I put on my fleece in the early morning hours. We were wearing socks, light weight long-johns and thin polyester shirt, no hat. I tend to sleep cold so I think the bag does as-good if not better than the rating. Note that this bag has the newer European temperature rating that many other bags still do not have. The quality of design and construction is fantastic, and the bag is light. The stuff sack is made very durable so appears to approach the weight of the sleeping bag. For Philmont I will use an inexpensive light weight dry-sack instead to save weight. Very impressed with the quality and performance, so well worth the money. I bought the less expensive left-zip style.

When you need a lightweight mummy bag for those summer nights at the campsite, The North Face Lynx 35F Synthetic Sleeping Bag is your answer to summer backpacking at it's finest. When ounces count in your pack, the Lynx 35F Synthetic Sleeping Bag weighs only 1 pound 14 ounces and is highly compressible for easy transport. Advanced cyclone construction takes the synthetic Heatseeker Pro insulation and wraps it around the bag in vertical baffles. The Lynx 35F Synthetic Sleeping Bag also features a shaped hood and a draft collar for your warm comfort and to keep your body heat from escaping. Loops on the mummy bag also attached it to a sleeping pad so your pad doesn't squeeze out in the middle of the night. The Lynx 35F Synthetic Sleeping Bag also comes with a compression sack and storage sack. It's the perfect answer to summer camping, any way you look at it.
