I have had this tent for hiking and canoe-camping for five years. It has generally stood up to use pretty well, with just a few very small holes in the fly and the tent mesh that have been successfully patched with glue or tape. It has been comfortable for two people, but not really suitable for three. The zippers work well and the mesh pockets and overhead hook are nicely designed. The whole tent has stood up to gale-force winds remarkably well and there has been no problem with the poles. The vestibule arrangements are the main weakness. The vestibule area is where the transition between clean inner tent and the outside world of dirt, wetness and bugs happens, so it is not surprising that it is difficult to provide an effective way to manage this. The main issue is the fly vestibule closure : the ring and hook clips can't be closed with one hand, the velcro also needs two hands and the outer clip is a very long stretch to reach. All this means that in rain or wind, with swarms of biting flies, and with muddy ground under foot, entering the tent and closing the fly can be a painful and messy experience. I would suggest the minimal additional weight of a zipper may provide some improvement, along with a slightly smaller vestibule to reduce the reach. One recommended addition to the packing up arrangement is a small drybag to pack the fly and possibly footprint separately for the situation where the tent has to be packed up while the fly is soaking wet. Still a good tent.
