I have had the stove for 14 years, and it has just started to slow down. I have taken it on at least 50 trips, many of them in the winter. It boils quickly, and I have plenty of control for simmering. It is super lightweight. It finally needs to be replaced, but no question I am getting the same stove.

I bought this for military exercises. It's light, quick, maintenance free, stable, and packs away into a 1litre titanium cup with gas, food and tea and a handkerchief to stop it all rattling I can go from walking to hot brew to walking again within 10 mins!

I have far too many stoves to mention, however the Superfly is one of my favourites - it simmers beautifully and knocks out the BTU's when you need it - far better than most top mounted gas canister stoves that I have encountered. I'm glad they dropped the piezo variant - as it's just more things to potentially go wrong. Mine is over 10 years old and, certainly here in the UK at least, was always sold in two flavours; with or without piezo ignition (I opted for the one without piezo ignition). One of the reasons that the stove cooks so well is that it has a relatively wide 'flame spread' that allows you to cook things more evenly in the pan - e.g cooking omelettes properly are a breeze with this stove down in the valley. Coupled with the fact that you don't have to worry about gas canister compatibility makes this a great climbing stove for continental Europe. It also has 4 prong pan supports, as opposed to the usual 3, making it more stable to cook with. All in all a great stove that cooks beautifully - I'm glad they haven't changed it.

This was my first purchase of this sort of stove. I immediately took it on a 2 1/2-week motorcycle camping trip. It was ridiculously easy to use and I enjoyed being able to adjust the flame. Four points of contact meant no spills and the ring-style burner was nice too. It is not as compact as similar stoves but for my purposes that is not an issue. I cook professionally and wanted something more than an off/on water boiler.
