Good, solid kettle from MSR--does what it says on the tin. Much less expensive than titanium. Excellent for car- or base-camp camping. Less so for long-distance hiking due to weight and uni-tasker nature. Width may make it difficult to use on some stoves.

I love this kettle. Its actually quite stylish. Like all MSR cookwear it is built to last. Robust but sits neatly on an MSR stove. Made of steel it is still lightweight but will take the knocks. MSR is probably my favourite brand. I love their kit. I like my gear to last and like the idea that all being well i will still be using the kettle amongst other pieces of MSR kit i have for years to come. I always look forward to when the brand brings out something new.

I recently purchased the Alpine 1-Liter Teapot after agonizing over this teapot or MSR's Titanium larger teapot. Price made me deiced to purchase the Alpine 1-Liter. This fits perfectly into my MSR 2 pot system and the weight is barely noticeable. Worked well, the bottom didn't scorch and helped the perfect amount of boiled water for 2 coffee's, and oatmeals. I was concerned that the 2 metal handles would become too hot and would make them unusable but to my surprise they weren't hot at all, even with a rolling boil inside the Alpine Teapot. Easy to fill coffee mugs with the open slot on the side and didn't spill any of my hot water.

I picked 1 up a little over a year ago and still get a ton of comments about how cool and fast it works.

I love this kettle. It keeps cold mornings cozy and warm. It also fits inside my 2L pot. The knob and handles divert hear and make for an easily usable product. Using dish soap on the bottom during open flame burning makes for an easier cleanup on any MSR pot/cookware. A good kettle with a wide base which remains sturdy on my Superlight stove tops.

About the only negative thing I could pick about, is the handles can get hot from the campfire, if you have a lot of high flames.

MSR Alpine Teapot
Have an amazing time in the great outdoors by using this MSR Alpine Teapot. This teapot from MSR has a 1 lt. capacity so that you can heat up enough water in it to give everyone in your group a nice hot cup of tea. It is an ideal item to have on those cold mornings or nights while you are out camping with your family or friends. This teapot is made of high quality stainless steel to make it very reliable. It is tough and durable in order to last a long time. It has a low profile pour spout so that it does not take up too much room when you pack it. Folding its wire handles makes it even more compact. The lid has been designed to stay firmly on to avoid any spilling. Have a great time in the outdoors with this MSR Alpine Teapot.
