Strong, sturdy.

Purchased these poles to use with Thru-Hiker 100 Wing as a free standing structure as secondary protection for tent. Worked beautifully to keep us dry in a deluge with wind. Nothing like packing up a dry tent.

New poles for my River Camp Kitchen Fly

Super sturdy and I like that the adjustment is at the top so you don't always have to bend down. I like these better than the Kelty poles.

Quality expandable pole

A nice adjustable pole, only thing that would improve upon it is of it collapsed short enough to be packed with the msr tarp shelter I'm using it with.

8ft Pole Perfect for Winter Backpacking Treks

I bought the 8ft adjustable pole to use with my pyramid tarp for winter. Usually I will just lash two trekking poles together but for this trip I needed to use my shelter as a basecamp and use my trekking poles during the day. The pole is easy to set up and is very sturdy. We had gusty winds with temps around -10C and the pole and the tarp had no issues. I packed this folded up in the bottle pocket of my 65L pack.

Tarp friendly

I use these with an ultralight tarp which I take along on bicycle tours. They are overkill in strength but this means you can depend on them. I modified them so I can lower my tarp in a gale to three feet. Simply remove the elastic cord and remove one section. Then pinch the central tube a little for a snug fit. When the wind lessens, put it back to 5 feet and you are back in business.
