Very lightweight jacket but definitely waterproof. Withstood 40 mph winds and sleet hiking in Scotland and my layers below were dry.

I was looking for a rain jacket for hiking that would keep me dry but I didn't want to break the bank. This was perfect. I had got one at REI and tested it in the shower. I did not get wet at all. I saw the cheaper price here so returned the REI jacket and purchased this one. The pit zips are great too. The previous one I purchased was a small and I ended up sizing up to a medium to leave room for layering.

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a rain jacket comfortable enough to run in, breathable and will keep me dry in a cold rain. I tested it out for the first time last week. The temperature was 42 degrees and a downpour. I ran 5 miles, I didn’t get overheated and best of all I was dry!

Sunny Sports was prompt in sending my order. I would recommend them because they seem friendly and accommodating…sunny! The jacket is very nice and the nightshade color is perfect. However, I ordered the wrong Marmot jacket and I already have one very similar to this. My mistake! It is difficult to look at the products online and know what the outer fabric and lining are like. Marmot products are always excellent.

It kept me dry when I wore it on a rainy and windy day in Hawaii. I wore a medium over a T-shirt and used the hood over my visor with no problem. The jacket was snug so if you plan to wear over a sweatshirt or fleece jacket, a size larger may be better.

Loved the jacket other than the fact it had NO lining so this did not suit my purpose. It is only suitable for a spring time shower. A good warm weather jacket but a lining would have suited my needs better.

Great jacket for travel! Packs small, perfect for layering if necessary, completely waterproof. Worked well on our trip to Ireland. Easy to put in daypack for outings, kept the wind at bay. Love the fit of the hood, and the bright color is nice.

I lost my PreClip and missed it so much I bought the same color. In San Francisco I wear it year round. It's very lightweight but really cuts the wind and damp, doesn't feel bulky or stiff.

This is my third Marmot Precip jacket. I've continued buying them because they are waterproof but very light and great for travel or carrying around. They don't last for ever though and eventually the waterproofing fails. However the price makes them great value for money.

I have tons of Marmot apparel, and this jacket isn't up to par at all. It's more like a factory store jacket. The seems don't seem to be done well, it wrinkles, and I just didn't trust it to hold up. I wear an 8 jacket, and this medium was big and boxy, even for layering. I sent it back and am waiting for a Mountain Hardware replacement. Hopefully, I'll have better luck with it.
