Nice comfortable and light weight. It just runs really really small. I got it for icec and rock climbing but it's to tight to get much of an insulation layer under it.

Pros: cost, fit, function, visor, looks Cons: not super easy to adjust in siteu, low quality back adjusters, uncomfortable to wear a hat underneath I have a big ass head (7-3/4, long aspect ratio), and this helmet fits just right. I often sit on belay for hours at a time, so I wear a hat to keep the sun off my face, and the pads on the back dig the hat strap into my skull. Fortunately the sweet visor picks up some of the slack. My Helios doesn't have that problem, since it's a hair bigger, but the Helios chinstrap digs into my ears, which is worse. El cap has the same side adjusters as the half dome (poetically), so that's not a problem. While the half dome back adjust works really well, it also catches rope when you're flaking, which is really annoying. El cap is flake friendly! Overall I'd say it's my favorite helmet.
