only give them a four because i haven't used them, yet. they appear well built. would buy them again. would i have hiked the appalachian trail faster if i had used these instead of the other? i don't know but if i were to try/do it again i would use these poles.

These poles were a cinch to adjust! Pretty lightweight, but not as light as the "superlights" that have a twisting adjustment (those were harder for me to adjust).

Bought this for my very first long hiking trip at Yosemite. Used them extensively for 14 hours and they never failed me. Also no blister on my hands at the end of the day. Just make sure that you adjust the screws correctly so that all the joints are locked securely.

I use my hiking poles 3-5 times per week on a 1 to 2 hour hike in the mountains. I love them for support, whether it's mental or not, and a little bit of an arm and shoulder work out......... at my age.

This are the first "speedlocking" poles I've used. Great for quick release and reset on steep and/or slippery trails. Far better than twist locks for me. The Corklite handle has a nice comfortable grip and the pole itself is very light weight with a good sturdy feel to it.

This is my first set of poles and I'm sold on Leki! They were recommended by a friend who is an avid hiker. I'll be getting another set that is more lightweight when I start doing multi-day hikes!

Great pole for a woman due to light weight, ease of adjustment, and durability.

A note about the 'cork'. I have both the Leki Corklite and the Black Diamond Trail ErgoCork poles. Both fine choices, but quite different in hand-grip 'experience'. The BD ErgoCork hand-grip is carved from real cork, and so has a natural cork feel, and has a 360° rim at it's base to prevent hand slip-down (a good thing because the BD wrist strap 'lock' often lets the strap gradually loosen). Whereas the Leki Corklite cork is a cosmetic resin-cork mixture formed onto the hard plastic hand-grip base. Looks great, but not at all a true cork feel like the BD ErgoCork. The Leki grip has no lower 'front' rim to keep fingers from sliding down, so it's good that Leki's strap lock stays solidly locked without slippage. I find the 'birds-head' shape of the Leki grip top to be more comfortable and versatile (cane? use) than the 'table-top' shape of the BD. [Someone posted somewhere: don't leave CORK poles outside the tent overnight: critters chewed his BD ErgoCorks to get at the hand-perspiration salt!] The Leki SpeedLock and the BD FlickLock seem equally effective. The Speedlock adjuster screw-head protrudes for easy on-trail adjustment, whereas the recessed screw-head of the BD FlickLock cam adjuster may need a proper tool.

Haven't used it extensively yet but it shows promise as a good hiking aid.
