Overall I like the hammock and believe it’s a great value, but as a backpacker there are a few feature that I’d like to see changed. I’d like a single ridge line to hold up the bug screening so it fits nicely under a tarp, and a bug net that provides better ventilation. The bug net is so fine that it impedes airflow making it even hotter on a hot humid night. Also, I’d like a slightly shorter overall length of 10’ To save a little weight and to fit under a standard 10’ tarp.

We purchased this hammock as a gift for our grandson’s 14th birthday! He apparently loves it but has not been able to use it much as yet due to the weather we’ve been having! I know he will enjoy it

I recieved the skeeter beeter as a gift 2 years ago and it is by far the best camping and backpacking shelter I have it's big easy setup and comfortable sleeping no more getting eaten up by the mosquitoes all night . I would recommend this to anyone for back country camping also is a low impact way to camp. Of course my pic is this year and I have it flipped no mosquitoes yet.

Took my Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater on a 3,000 mile motorcycle ride, it afforded me comfortable bug free rest at every opportunity! Everything one needs to hook up, and chill out. Loved it so much I bought a second to keep in my Jeep.

What an excellent hammock. I was looking for a hammock or single-person tent for solo camping, and settled on this. It is a pleasure to use, bundles up small and it’s like laying in a womb. I’ve used for about 2 weeks, hanging in forest by home, each day relaxing in it a little bit. So so wonderful. Even setting it up and taking it down is a joy.

I bought one of these hammocks 5 years ago and it has gone everywhere from the traditional camping trip in my state of North Carolina all the way to Northern Tier on the boundary waters of Minnesota and Canada. The bug net is great at keeping out insects and if you don't need the net then you can flip it over and just use the bottom. I have thrown this hammock around and it only has two holes in it smaller than your pinky. For the price you pay your hammock will outlive any Enos by about 4 lifespans. The Hammock is also lightweight so its great for backpacking.

I've used many hammock brands over the years as a scout leader and Grand trunk is my favorite. The skeeter beater was my first from this company and my son still uses it years later. We are both 6 ft plus and are 260 and 220 lbs, never had a worry about integrity with this brand.

Very sturdy hammock, strong zippers and all the included hanging gear worked great. Comfortable enough to sleep in for weeks at a time and wide enough to sleep diagonally. Will be using it again for several weeks in the jungle but had to buy a 360 degree bug net because the mosquitos bite right through the fabric that is under you. I had to put a blanket under me to keep from being bitten in a place that was so hot at night that was the last thing I wanted to do. Not so much of an issue if you are camping somewhere cool, though it is a little tricky positioning the blanket and getting on top of it without it being all bunched up everywhere.

Why 10' straps and 14 foot straps are sold with it is a mystery. Regardless how well you pull the slack taut the hammock needs to be hooked within three/four feet or less to each anchor point. If not the hammock will sag to the point where it bottoms out. This was confirmed by Grand Trunk. It would be nice if that mounting procedure was documented on-line and instructions were included with the product. Once that is understood, it works just fine. It would be nice if this product was offered in the double size too.
