Best water pack for hiking pack!

Crux 2L Reservoir
I had an older model of this reservoir and it was a pain to get the mouth peace back through the hole, but loving this one with its curved mouth piece and easy detach for easier cleaning.

Perfect hydration tool!
Using it on a hiking tour of Ireland. It has kept me hydrated and ready to roll. Fits neatly in my backpack. Very little slosh. So easy to carry I forgot to refill one day! Love the lock button so no dribbling.

I was happy
I read a lot of the reviews. i washed mine before I used it with dish soap and it had no bad taste. It fit my old camelpak (I had a 2008 version). It doesn't leak and I have already used it twice! I think it is fine. :)

Works but has some issues
1. I do not like the more per sip feature. The larger diameter hose means I mostly get more hot water per sip instead of the ice water in the reservoir
2. The cap easily comes of the ring that attaches it to the reservoir
3. Is more difficult than previous models to get the cap on properly

Good product, not great
Seems quality has declined. This product used to be much better in quality. Looks like it?s time to find an alternative. This is third one I?ve bought this year. Product is just not holding up to frequent use.

I?ve had a camelbak pack for about 15 years, which is still awesome and fully functional. I just replace the reservoir every now an again. The only reason I?m giving it four, in stead of five, stars is that there is no longer a little cap for the mouth piece to keep it clean. I like the on/off function, but I used it for the first time yesterday and it got muddy a few times. Other than that, it?s a great product!

Like the new improvements...except for one shortcoming.
I have purchased the new reservoir, which I like very much for durability and a better locking device. Only one problem? My old Camelback cover and flap do not fit to latch over the new reservoir. Now I will have to purchase a new cover as well. Bummer!

Limitation of hot water in this Reservoir
I purchase this reservoir when I start to go hiking and it is awesome. I wonder know could I put hot water in this reservoir? if any limit to the temperature of hot water?

Tube is too short
The hole is big enough for most hands to fit in, to wipe the inside. And that tube lock feature is great. But I bought this to replace a reservoir in another brand's backpack. And the tube is too short! They do sell a replacement tube for this reservoir, which is longer. So why on earth is the included one shorter?

I just bought the crux 2. I have gone on two rides and everything seams to work great.The thing I don't understand is the baffle inside all it does is get in the way when trying to clean or dry the reservoir, is it really necessary?
