Black Diamond Zodiac Gear Sling

Purchased a second one for my son. Mine has been a life saver as I had open heart surgery and my incision is still senstive so this gear sling allows me to have gear on each side of my sternum and not irritate the scar. Design allows you to keep gear out of the way and as an old schooler, I like to get gear off my harness for trad climbing.

I use this sling for all big free climbs and wall assaults. Works great for soloing too. Works great as a chest sling when soloing with Grigri.

This gear sling is very basic and gets the job done, but could be better. The gear loops hang pretty low and it was cumbersome because it caused tangles with the gear on my harness. I'm 5'11" and have a size S/M. For mostly free walls and light nailing routes this gear sling will work fine. It has a very low profile and is super light.

For multipitch climbing and bigwall it is good but the gear loops are to high for me and I find they get in the way of my harness gear loops where I keep other stuff, good for carrying gear if you don't wan't to carry a bag. All in all a good piece.
