I bought these Black Diamond Trekking Pole tip protectors to save wear and tear on the pole tips when doing Nordic Walking on pavement in the city. It is also good for added grip, noise reduction and terrain scarring reduction on flat trails. The great deal and customer service at SS made this a no brainer.

Sunny Sports happily supplied me, in the same order; First Strike Trekking Poles and these Tip Protectors. No thought had gone into the fact they had supplied me with 2 items that were in fact not compatible. Still no warning appears on their website for future buyers. You judge for yourself, their response to my support enquiry was: "The tip protectors do not fit on the poles that you bought as the kids poles have a smaller shaft than the adults poles do. Black Diamond does not make tip protectors to fit the First Strike Poles. People Who Viewed This Item, Ultimately Bought, does not mean that the poles will fit the tip protectors. This section is to give our customers suggestions on products that other customer with your interest have purchased. Thank you for shopping with us we appreciate your business".

Bought these when I bought my trekking poles. I like that they give me more traction and are quieter than a bare pole end. Not sure how long they'll last but would rather have them than not.
