First fingered. Works great, I can manage my phone without taking gloves off, good hand protection.

We bought two pairs of these gloves (extra small and medium to use on some via ferrata routes. They worked great for that. They're not perfectly comfortable, as they sort of pinch around where the fingers meet the palms, but this wasn't super annoying or difficult to temporarily fix. It is possible this could have been rectified by a different size, but as the gloves fit everywhere else, I doubt it.

I love these gloves. It really cuts down on the rope burn and the heat that can build up with lowering a lead climber, when using some devices. I have small hands and these fit great, allowing my fingers to both give out rope and take in without too much bulk. I bought a small and they fit great.

I LOVE these gloves. I started with the full fingered ones and love these half finger gloves so much more! They are durable and I love having my dexterity still!

Comfortable all day. Provides just enough protection. I've used these on several day-long class 3 hikes and they are perfect - no slippage. Quality construction.

Used for belaying, sailing ,fishing and canyoning. Doesn’t get slimy when wet like leather.

They work great, except the sizing based on the recomended method is a little tight. The smalls were fine for my wife, but the med is tight on me, should have got a large. I'll use them and I can get them on, but removal is a chore.

The gloves fit pretty snugly on my hands, and with the wrist velcro, they don't come off. I have one of those jobs where customers don't want to see my hands scraped up on Monday. I find I can hold onto most 5.10's and climb splitters with the gloves with minimal carnage to my hands. When my friends complain of sharp holds, I don't even notice.

I like how I have more feel on the rope, felt more secured whenever I have to grip on the rope whether I am rappelling or belaying, saves my skin from rope burns.

I really like these for longer days when I know I am going to have to do a bunch of belaying as they can really save some skin. I followed the instructions to fit them and found them a bit tight at first, but they eventually stretched out and are now pretty comfortable. Overall I think they are a great value for anyone who does a lot of roped climbing (and therefore belaying.

I love these gloves. They were my favorite as a climbing guide and now i buy them in bulk as wheelchair gloves. The perfect amount of friction, decent hand coverage, and maintains dexterity so I don’t have to take them off to use my phone or write.

The gloves do a good job of protecting my hands and giving me a better grip on the rope. Fit is good, although I would like to see them a little sturdier at the leather finger tabs used for glove removal. It seems like they are going to tear the stiching before too long and I have had my pair about 3 or 4 months.

I finally had a great opportunity to take these outside on a nice cold morning so I could see how they held up. tl;dr: great gloves. They're very comfortable on the inside, with no issues with lumpy seams or stitching, but with enough padding I could really slide the rope through my hands while lowering on belay without even a touch of discomfort. The half-finger is really nice - the first route of the morning was cold and crimpy so I left 'em on for the first few bolts, and took 'em off partway up where it got more slopey and i wanted to use my full hand. Biner hole is well-placed, and the little flaps on the fingers to make them easier to take off were a huge help while halfway up the wall.

I wear these while hanging on ropes servicing avalanche control equipment. They are cheap protection from cuts and nicks that you can get working around a lot of cable and steel. I cut the tabs on the fingers off. They tend to get caught or pinched while tightening bolts etc.

These were great. Just what I thought they would be. I've only used them once and they look good. I'm curious to see if the palm wears out after several uses. It shows not wear and tear after 1 use, but for some reason I feel like it may after a while. We will see. The price was great however. Hard to beat for the price. They have a nice hole to hang on a harness. I do like that feature. A little hard to get off when sweaty. Overall very good and super comfortable.

I've had these belay gloves since May 2017. They are the best I've ever used. The half-finger feature is key. I find full finger belay gloves to be hard to deal with. They are breathable, durable and lightweight. I use Dr. Bronner's to hand wash them and let them air dry. Best belay gloves ever!

I wish I purchased the full finger variant of these gloves. I bought these on the advice of my climbing mentor for when we rap down to the base of a climb for the day after we set up our top rope. They do leave my fingers partially exposed to the rope still. The quality themselves aren't bad however.... I see myself buying full fingers in the near future.

They are really uncomfortable around the fingers. I bought these for my 7 year old boy for ziplining and climbing, but he didn't have them on for a full 3 seconds before he ripped them off because they were extremely uncomfortable. I tried them on to see what he was talking about, and sure enough, they were so uncomfortable around the fingers that I wouldn't want to wear them either. The interiors on the half-digits are coarse, and in my opinion, too tight and not cut well. I bought an XS, but am returning (my ring size for my dominant hand middle finger is 7, width 7 inches; and my son's hand is, well, a lot smaller than mine. I would have rated these gloves lower except for the fact that we hadn't tested their durability during belaying or climbing.

OK. So, I know cave diving isn't the use most people have in mind for these gloves. But, I will tell you that diving in high flow caves in Florida frequently resembles climbing. A diver's primary means of propulsion is known as pull-and-glide. There is often more pull than glide - like pulling yourself into a firehose. The combination of frequent rock contact and saturated wet glove materials make most full-fingered gloves good for 1 or 2 dives before the fingers rip. Half-finger gloves last longer and help develop technique, training divers to stop using their soft, wet fingertips for propulsion and use their palms instead. Even with good technique, gloves don't last. These gloves have been the best I have found. I've had pairs last about 15-20 dives before the palm rips, a strong testament to the material quality. I'd love it if Black Diamond created a Florida Cave Diving Glove with materials specifically suited for hand protection in wet conditions. Until then, these are the best I've found.

I am NOT a climber. I bought these gloves mainly for Springtime outdoor photography. They allow for finger dexterity when using my DSLR camera. They are also easy on and easy off!

I have mainly used these gloves hanging from a rope and wire brushing moss off a area I'm developing. They are a super comfortable glove even when wearing them for hours on end. Great for jugging up the rope.
