This is my first harness that I've owned, sold for life, wore this for hours on the wall and didn't even notice it when I was taking it off for the day. Holds a lot of gear. If you are a 32in consider getting a large its pretty close for me.

Loved everything about this harness except the buckles and the sizing. I have a large BD harness I use for ice climbing and winter activities and it fits perfect with all my layer underneath. I cannot use it for rock because its too big. So I purchased this harness in a medium and it fits very sung, close to the end of the belt strap. Not sure the sizing of this harness is consistent with the other BD harnesses. And the double backed buckles for the the legs and waist surprised me. So I returned it. That said, its a beautiful harness. Looks very well built, very comfortable, lots of well situated gear lops and love the 2 belay loops for big walls.

I got mine in 2017, I´m 6' 2", 104 kg, love trad climbing and sport climbing as weel. I feel this harnes great at hanging belays, great fredom of movement. I love the seven gear loops. The bucle sistem is cumbersome and slow to adjust. I feel the necessity to be updated at bucles closure, otherwise one of the 21st century harness keep an 1987 bucle.

Bought this harness 5 years ago and was extreme pleased with it. Worked very good as a trad harness as vell as climbing indoor or on bolts. When it was time to get a new harness i didnt think about looking for an other harness but bought the same again. The harness is still comfortabel, but the side gearloops are now smaller than the old version. And that is so annoing, that was one of the realy good thing about this harness. That you always had space to bring so much equipment, but now i got to start prioritising what i gonna need on route i am climbing.

Awesome gear. This is the second belt I have bought in eight years. I use it to climb trees daily it is very durable. I love the utility loops. This belt allows a lot of flexibility while in the trees. It is the most comfortable belt I have found. I will purchase again when it is time.

I just use this at the climbing gym. Feels great, love it, and I don't get bruises on my stomach like I did with the Petzl Clorox/Thorax or whatever I called it. I took that back after three climbs. I'm fat and trying to get into shape and this fit the bill. WORTH TWICE MORE!!!

This harness is full of features and plenty of gear loops that make easy to rack your gear. Having plenty of gear loops cl helps prevent congestion and makes easier to unload and place gear. It's taken time getting use to the weight because it weighs a bit more than my chaos but I will manage.

The harness is very comfortable. The thick padded straps make sitting in the harness more comfortable. It has a lot of options for gear placement, almost to many! The harness is a little heavy. Overkill for sport and top roping, good for long multi pitch.

I'm getting back into climbing (a bit after years of being away. A bit larger all around. This harness is a great allrounder on big climbs as well as crags. I never through the generous gear loops would end up a storage area for all my daughters wayward gadgets! Ha!

This harness is both supper comfortable and a total work horse. A great choice for big wall missions and technical SAR operations!

I tried out this harness for the first time on a wall at the end of May 2016. It preformed excellently. About as comfortable as a harness can be expected to be, plenty of gear loops for all aid gear. I found the hammer loop to be pretty ineffective but it is easily removed.

Nothing is worse than questing out on a route that has hanging belays, heavy racks weighed down with beaks and hooks or even 200meters of static line. whether you go ground up or drop in to shoot a project. The Big Gun harness has plenty of room to clip it all on. The double belay loops make it convenient to run daisies off one side while having belay devices on the other. The buckle system is easy to tighten and release, especially when fingers are swollen and sore. The hip belt handles heavy loads well. Double set of cams, hammer, pins and beaks, sippy cup or whatever else gets clipped on, the Big Gun keeps the waist happy while dangling in the vertical realm. Looking for the magic bullet to help out on the next #MegaProj? The Big Gun harness has it covered.

By far the most comfortable harness I have worn. Really works well when setting routes.

I bought this harness knowing I will be doing a lot of hanging in it and needed a all around harness for SAR, Bolting, and Long days of work in it. The padding and width of leg and waist straps are big and comfortable but not so large that it is bulky and in the way. The dual belay loops are very handy when bolting and SAR. If you don't use them for that then it would just be great to alternate between the two so you don't get the wear and tear. I haven't used the hammer holster and actually removed it. There are plenty of gear loops although the loops themselves are small except for the large one on the back which is difficult to use. At first I was worried it wouldn't last long but it did. I've had this harness for more then a year and check it every time I put it on. It is a very durable harness that gets the job done. For the price and lifespan for this harness I am probably going to purchase another one, I recommend this product.

This harness is very comfortable even when wearing it all day, It's easy to put on and adjust. I love the bag it comes in and usually just clip it to my other pack that i carry to the crag. Very minimal weight and thats a huge plus for me. Black Diamond definitely nailed this one on the head

This harness is exceedingly comfortable. It has plenty of gear loops and I really like the hammer holster (I use it for my mag flashlight as well as the hammer. My only trivial complaint about this harness is that the buckles are not auto-locking. I am 5'll 190 and the size large is almost too small; when I order another Big Gun, I will probably go with the XL.

I use this harness for SAR work which is not climbing but does include rappelling and ascending. We also hang for long periods when performing litter rescues. I worked with this harness on for 5 days straight shortly after I purchased it and was amazed at its comfort. Since then I've used it numerous times and have no complaints. It also integrates well with the BD Vario Chest harness. I just wish BD made a bombproof connector strap! The only problem I have is my waist adjustment. I am on the border between Medium & Large. I bought a large and it tightens as far as possible. Problem is that when strapping down, it always slips out a bit. More my borderline size than the harness, I think.

Picked up this bad boy for developing routes and times when there's a bunch of time hanging. Couldn't be happier... a little heavy but oh so comfy!

so far i have loved this harness, as the assistant ropes director at an outdoor educational camp for middle schools and high schools, it gives me a professional appeal as well as a super comfy sit harness when working on the courses at height as well as walking around under elements.

This is great for hanging out on big walls projects or even small walls on a fixed line. Maybe you're photographing your friend and hanging there for a while. Maybe a few hours fixed a route this is your harness! I'm happy it's comfortable it's like taking you're favorite lawn chair with you on the wall.

I bought this for trad climbing, not aid, so can't really speak to that aspect of it. I was looking for something that would handle gear better than a sport-oriented harness. The padding is great and the harness is surprisingly light for its size. The only drawbacks I see are that the side gear loops are small--it's advertised as having a ton of gear loops, but the actual loop real estate isn't a whole lot more than a "normal harness". And the big gear loop in the back is awkward to access, especially with a pack on. That said, however, I'm very happy with the quality and features and am sure this will last me through many days of fun climbs.

It's comfortable and well made. A huge improvement over my old one. The only nitpick is that I wish it was designed to tie in on either side as well as the leg loops thus eliminating the buckle as a point of failure.

I borrowed this harness to climb El Cap via Muir wall and the nose. Comfortable and great for organizing gear. Tie in points make it so you have room for multiple ropes. Haul loop is great as well. Made being on the wall for 6 days much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The super wide waist and leg loops make hanging in this harness for hours on end a lot more tolerable than any other alpine harness. This combined with the relatively light weight when compared to other rescue harnesses make it my #1 pick for any rope rescue team.

This harness is straightforward. Three double backing buckles, gear loops, and some added foam along with a thick waist belt for comfort. Not like some other new sporty harnesses with auto-backing buckles and helium inside the darn waist belt to help you scend. I have not figured out two things. I still need to work out adjusting those thicker than average leg loops, they seem to make it difficult to keep everybody down there in the same room, but I think with minor tweaking, I'll get it right. And the two smaller gear loops that are on top of another set haven't made sense to me yet, so I just don't use those. The large gear loop on the back is SUPER useful. As others mentioned, comfortable to wear, hang in, etc.

I was expecting a large oversize harness, but it is just a little bit bigger than my old climbing harness, but will much more places to clip gear on and even came with an axe sling to boot. I am really satisfied with this new harness it was all that Black Diamond said it was!

This is the most comfortable harness i have ever owned. I didn't have any discomfort hanging and belaying for extended periods of time. I would recommend it to anyone planning on going on big wall climbs. thumps up

This thing will keep you comfortable in all day epics, or simply in an afternoon of cragging. Double belay loops, seven gear loops, a haul loop, and enough padding to help you retain circulation makes this monster a must have for big wall and aid climbing.
