Just go up a size?
Im a size 10 and i really tried to break those 10's in but, they were too tight. Went to size 11, perfect fit. I have a very average foot.

Great support and comfort
These have truly improved my disc golf game. The local courses are all wooded and a couple are rocky. My ankles are much happier with these and they are comfortable for a long day.

Warm Feet: The Key to Enjoying the Northern Lights
On a cold and damp 23-degree October night, i wore my Moab 3 Mid Waterproof boots to see the Northern Lights, 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle. And while others complained about their cold feet and were unable to enjoy the unbelievable light show, my feet remained cozy and comfortable throughout the night. I have been wearing Merrell shoes since 2009 - I wouldn't even consider any other brand of shoe for my outdoor activities.

Excellent for mountain hiking.
Hiked very demanding terrain long hours without even feeling the boots. Very good traction uphill AND downhill, extremely comfortable from the get go, no need to break in. Ample toe box. Good ankle support without feeling tight.

Great features! Very comfortable
I bought these about a month ago, So far very happy with them. They feel broken in right out of the box. I have probably walked 10 miles in them so far. I am a little concerned about how waterproof they are after seeing other unhappy reviews.

All day comfort
Although I have not hiked in the mountains in my boots, I have walked a number of streets in San Francisco in them. I have also gone to concerts in them as well. They are so confotrable

Comfort at its best
I hike over 2000 k a year and never disappointed with Merrell. Over the years this would be at least my 12th pair. They have great support and traction and yes the waterproof works.

These are my second pair of Moabs bay I've owned. My first pair were one of my prized possessions. I wore them in close to 25 states, all 4 time zones, about 6 national parks, and they had been in both Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico. The tow was stained by the Pacific Ocean on Canon beach in Oregon. And that doesn't include wearing them daily for almost 5 years.
Here's to hoping my Moab 3s (which I love and are an amazing value) get the same experiences.

Average quality for the price
Narrow width and sizes run small. Order a half size up. Merrell benefits from great marketing and a long reputation of producing quality and durable footwear in years past. Wore Merrell work boots for years. The Moab is stylish, but not of durable material quality given the $160 price for a boot made in sweat shops in Vietnam.

As good as always!
3rd or 4th pair I've owned, you can always count on Moab's to handle a rocky trail. Great ankle support and traction, good for everyday hiking.

Not Waterproof.
Comfortable and good looking shoe. But?. Not even remotely waterproof, not even water resistant. 5 minutes in wet grass and my socks were soaked.

Not happy
Boot size was small wasn't happy with the quality at all. Gave it to my kid. I'll stick with the Moab 2

Moab 3s are better
Moab 3s are significantly better the predecessors. Sole is stiffer and they retain the comfort. Lightweight but fairly tough for an every day boot. I've worn Merrels for some years. The Moab 2 lasts less than a year of fairly hard use. My first pair of Moab 3s lasted a year and a half. The tread wore off from my incessant walks. No rips in the fabric but they did leak water after some months.

Great boots, bought again
I had a pair that I wore for a year straight. I wore them mainly for walking and my everyday shoe originally and then in the summer I used them as work shoes outdoors for 8 hours a day and they were amazing. They kept my feet dry in the morning dew and felt super comfortable no matter the application. They're also great hiking boots and provide good support on the trail.

Mid waterproof hiking boots
I wore my hiking boots on the Mendenhall Glacier on our Alaskan cruise and hiked around Skagway on the bus and train to the Yukon Territory, Ketchikan, as well as Bancouver, Victoria, and Butchart, British Columbia. The boots were perfect! They kept my feet warm and dry on the glacier, and in Ketchikan (where it was cold and rainy), and perfect for hiking all over British Columbia. They were supportive and comfortable throughout my travels. I am so glad I bought them and am eager to try them out on more outdoor adventures.

Love these boots
I have always thought blisters were just a part of prolonged hiking but I just did a 3 night backpacking trip through the Tetons in these guys and my feet have never felt better!

Still ... perfect ... after all these years
I have gone through 3 generations of high-top Merrell hiking boots over the past 15 years. For some reason, they just fit my feet perfectly! They wear well, with many, many hikes before they wore out over time. I had to graduate to the "wide" variety when I just bought the Moab line this time around. Seems the regular width got a little narrower over the years. Each time, I tried a number of other manufacturers' hiking boots, but Merrell was just the right fit at a reasonable price for the performance I needed.

Good boot for our use
These boots were chosen for our State's Urban Search and Rescue team to be used around our BoO (Base of Operations) and for travel and training. The membership frequently speaks about the ease of break-in and the attributes of the boot. They are lightweight, yet sturdy, and the waterproofing is effective in the environments we work in.

Best Hiking Shoes I've ever owned.
These are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've ever owned. Taking these to England to hike Hadrian's Wall in October and I know my feet will be well taken care of.

Needs to slip on easier
Good comfort but back upright is too soft not allowing for easy entry of your heel . Needs to be stiffer like other Merrell's I have purchased.
I have to bend down reach behind the heel to get it started. I'm 6'3" and 225 so not so easy.
