If you are looking for a fabulous vacation destination, look no further than Lake Berryessa camping. Lake Berryessa, which is located in the northern part of California, is one of the best spots for fishing and other water sports. Here, you can find an abundance of bass, catfish, rainbow trout and bluegill. You will also find some fantastic camping located around the lake, and listed below are the top three.
1. The Campgrounds of Pleasure Cove Marina
There are two separate campgrounds in and near Pleasure Cove Marina. The one that is located within Pleasure Cove has more than 135 sites with water access. They also have spaces to hook up your RV. The other campground, which is known as Oak Shores Campground, has almost 100 sites.
Each site at Oak Shores has a picnic table and barbecue pit, but there are no hookups for RVs. There are no showers at this campground, but there are water faucets and four rest rooms. Both campgrounds accept pets with a nonrefundable pet deposit at the time of check-in.
2. Canyon Creek’s Resort
Canyon Creek’s Resort, which is located near the southern end of Lake Berryessa, has member sites for both RVs and tents. All sites come complete with a gated entry and security, and RV sites come with hookups. Here, you can also enjoy such activities as bingo, arts and crafts, musical shows, movie nights, fishing contests, and more.
3. The Campground at Lake Solano Park
This campground is the most popular Lake Berryessa camping spot, with thousands of visitors flocking here every year. Since it is such a sought-after camping destination, it is best if you make your reservation at least three months in advance of your stay.
This campground has 91 sites and four restrooms complete with flushing toilets, sinks and hot showers. Almost 40 of the sites have electric and water hookups, and two of them have sewer hookups. There are also two dump stations on the grounds. On the eastern part of the campground you will find picnic sites, telephones, parking and a boat launch.
When visiting Lake Berryessa, you will want to reserve a stay in one of the best camping spots near the lake. Whether you plan on roughing it in a tent or camping in your RV, there is a campground here that will suit all of your needs. However, be sure to reserve your spot well in advance as these campgrounds are quite popular for Lake Berryessa camping.
