Colors in the Sky

Most people think of flowers as coming up from the ground, often a welcome sign of spring, but some of the most beautiful flowers — in appearance and scent — come from flowering trees. The flowers of some trees are a necessary component of producing fruit, while others are simply a function of the tree’s annual cycle. It’s hard to beat strolling alongside flowering trees on a spring or summer afternoon. Even the hardest of hearts surely can’t suppress that warm, quiet feeling that wells up in your chest when surrounded by so much of nature’s glory. Gaze upon some of our favorite North American flowering trees.
