The Cold, Hard Evidence

Climate change has become the focus of heated debate, most notably in recent years, with those who warn of it pointing to undeniable physical and statistical evidence. Because it’s an issue that doesn’t immediately affect people’s lives, there is plenty of room for denial and skepticism, which even the hardiest of scientists are subject to. But it’s difficult to deny hard evidence produced by researchers with boots on the ground, which is exactly what the upcoming film, Chasing Ice, intends to produce. This film follows the research and documentation of climate change by National Geographic photographer James Balog, a self-proclaimed climate change skeptic, and the harsh realities he’s faced with throughout the expedition. Produced by the same people who brought us the illuminating documentary The Cove, Chasing Ice looks to be one of the most revealing climate change documentaries yet.
