I was looking for a good, comfortable chair mainly for using at my nearby beach and backyard. The Wilderness Recliner has been perfect! Very high quality, easy to carry, relatively lightweight for being "luxurious". It carries very nicely for short walks and highly sturdy for long term use. I look forward to possibly purchasing other products in the GCI line!

I do not have it with me, but I'd say about 6". I would buy it again, but it does have 2 problems. First it only has one strap, so it is not a backpack. Second the only storage it has is in front of you between your legs. If you take it to the beach your items are in the sand or water. I do like the chair, and take it to the beach every time I go.

Quite low. In fact, that is why I bought this chair. We go to an outdoor venue where they don't allow normal lawn chairs and this is perfect. Thinking of getting another one. rob

Seat is angled. it's higher in the front than in the back. Without measuring, the front would be about 12" and the back 8-10". I've never reclined all the way so I can't help you there

Great quality! Except for the backpack should pads have started to fray a little, but that's mostly cosmetic. It doesn't really recline, it does adjust a few inches back and forth rather easily though.

Not sure of the actual distance, but my husband and I are both large (hubby over 300 lbs. and I am over 200 lbs.) and it fits us well. The best low profile chair we have bought, expertly made to withstand heavy people. Also compact enough to fit and/or carry anywhere. I would certainly buy again.
