We bought this case last year and it has been to Utah, Japan, and Canada! Unfortunately it did not fare well in Canada due to mishandling but our skis were SAFE! The company was quick to respond with options for replacement and providing a letter for the baggage claim. This company is awesome and we would recommend a SporTube to anyone who needs a ski case for the ease of use and protecting out skis. Not to mention the customer service is above and beyond!

Great Experience

Once you get the hang of getting your skis into the case it's super quick to get your gear in and out. It makes getting through the airport much easier and I don't have to worry about luggage handling. Plus there's so many sticker placement opportunitiesâ?¦ all in all a great case for your prime gear

Easy protection

I bought my Series 3 about 15 years ago. I go skiing out west once a year and have shipped skis in this case both by FedEx and airlines. One corner has some damage from an airline but the case is still in good shape. I did replace the wheels and axle due to that damage. I ship one set of skis plus a ski jacket and pants, helmet, and hiking boots. The case is great and I highly recommend these cases for anyone traveling with skis or other equipment.

The case itself is perfect, the best there is. Soft cases are nice, but if you have specialty gear or just love your own stuff and don't want to leave it in the hands of the airlines, this is what you buy. But let me tell you, the customer service at Sportube is above and beyond. I made an ordering mistake, and managed to call in the day my case was supposed to ship. I talked to local people at a company in the USA. Despite it being MY mistake, they worked it and got me what I needed and fixed my ordering error. 10 stars and 5 bags of popcorn. Love Sportube!

Series 3 Sportube

I have been using 2 tubes for almost 20 years for family ski trips within Canada and these tubes are a must for carrying skis to BC destinations on airlines. I think they are easier to haul around the airport than the soft sided bags too. We have never regretted getting/using the Sportubes.

Using both a series 1 and series 2 is more convenient when maneuvering through the airport and easier to "angle" into a mid-sized SUV than the series 3.

We shipped the case via Ship Skis (thru FedEx) After seeing some of the marks on the case, I would never ship my equipment in a soft bag again! Great product, great purchase.

I bought the Sporttube to ship my skis to Austria and it did not disappoint. Sturdy, lockable with a TSA lock and easy to either carry or roll. Very pleased!

2) Put some very unique stickers or colorful straps/webbing on your Sportube - there are a lot of them that show up in Denver during ski season and everyone is lunging at every un-marked Sportube coming off the oversize baggage carousel.

The smell from this item is so strong, I haven't even attempted to put a pair of skis in it yet! It's in the garage, airing out, and I check it weekly to see if it gets any better. Several weeks in, it's still rank. Will update review once I actually try to use it.

The stench is overwhelming.

Your case is far superior to any other case I've owned / used. Adjustability insures snug and secure fit. Hard shell is reassuringly protective. Interior padding at tip and tail is also nicely protective. The wheels seem sturdy. Removable handle is a thoughtful design.

Good Protection for my skis

I don't understand some of the negative reviews for the Sportube on the internet. It's super easy to load, durable, and the TSA had no issues getting in and out of it. It just survived being shipped with UPS across the US to Breckenridge from SC (didn't want it to get lost by the airline and I put an AirTag inside of it to track its progress) and then a TSA inspection on the way back to SC. Obviously, if you have fat skis, you'll want to confirm measurements, but it fit my Blizzard Firebird SRC and poles perfectly. Love the Sportube and looking forward to using it again.

Amazing Product

A few years ago I noticed a friends' Sportube and realized that my system of duct taping pillows around my skis when I fly might need an upgrade. Finally purchased one and my anxiety about flying with expensive equipment is gone! Tube came out of my most recent flight with an enormous scratch, just further evidence that the protection is necessary!
