Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

phillip p  What size pack cover for men's lowes alpine 50 zepton pack?
LAWRENCE W  Sorry, but I haven't had to use my raincover and don't even remember what size I bought.
RICHARD T  Probably a medium but it depends if you attach a lot of gear to the outside of your back. I would NOT recommend the Lowe Alpine cover. It uses a draw string rather than having elastic sewn into the edge and would be a pain to use if you had to put it on quickly in a storm. I returned mine and purchased a Sea to Summit. It costs more but well worth it!
MARILYN H  We don't own that pack but used the cover for a Jansport Big Bear 63
JEFFRY S  I have a Kelty Redcloud 5600 (92 L). I purchased an XL (tag says 85L - 100L). The XL is large even for this pack, although I have not had the pack filled to max (consider 4 days on the AT). I don't mind the oversize fit for my 5600. You just have to make sure you don't get water pooling in the bottom of the cover if you're walking in a downpour. My son carries a Kelty 4750 (78 L) and he uses a Large (tag says 65L - 80L) and it's about right for this pack (he usually has something strapped to the bottom of his pack). If you are going to carry a bedroll strapped to the bottom of your pack, I'd go with the large. If not, I'd go with the Med.
Shopper  I'm purchasing the jansport big bear 82 and looking for a bag/cover to ease travel through airports and baggage terminals. Will this fit and work for that application?
HARRY K  This is not a travel cover- just protection from the elements. The cover does not enclose the pack. It has a drawstring that makes getting in and out of it easy but the part that touches your back is still exposed. It was great for keeping the pack and contents dry during the rainstorm!
Shopper  Hi there. I have a lowepro fast pack 350 camera backpack. What size should I need in terms of rain cover?
Zack W  I would suggest to try the X-Small Mountainsmith Rain Cover; please follow the link bellow to see the sizes provided. http://www.sunnysports.com/Prod/MTSRC.html Enjoy it! Zack.
