Great fast pack

My first hydration pack and I've had it for about 6 months with plenty of use, so I've formed a pretty good opinion of it. The pack is the perfect size for up to half-day rides or hikes, carrying a few essentials and some food bars. The hydration bladder is easy to fill, use, and clean although the cleaning kit does make it a lot easier. The pack is very comfortable and easy to forget it's even there. The two gear pouches are small, but very usable and I can store an insulating layer into ...

left handed people .. beware.

Got as xmas present.. mostly it is very nice and well made .. There is a problem, I'm left handed and would really like to have the option to put the magnetic retention on the left side.. but you can not as it is fixed to the right side only. I realize we are a minority but we are 10% of the population so please consider giving left handed people the option to move the retention system to the left side. Lower strap was not long enough to use with my waist size.. That said would recommend ...

Great for trail biking!

By James

This is a must for trail biking. I haven't used it for harder downhill rides but I expect it to work well. Holds plenty of water for a long trip and has room for jerky/snacks and a spare tube or tools. If a single bottle is not enough for your trip this is a must!

Great Product

By Mike B.

Camelbak makes a great product. I have three Camelbaks and three Hydrapaks and the Camelbak is by far the better brand. I have an older Camelbak Mule and I wanted to get an updated one, but the Mule has really increased in size. I found that the Lobo was more similar to my Mule that I have had since 2001. The new Camelbaks are much easier to fill with ice and water with the big wide mouth. The Lobo does not have a ton of storage room, but it is perfect for a couple of bike tools, my wallet, keys, phone, bike pump, etc. That is all I need to carry on my daily mountain bike ride. Buy one you will be pleased.

Great size Camelbak

By Eric M.

After having a Camelbak Rogue for 7 years and having it start to show its age, I decided it was time for a new Camelbak. I could have got another Rogue, but I decided I needed a bigger bladder for my needs, so after going through the different offerings that Camelbak has I found the Lobo checked off all the boxes for my needs. So far its done great and it's great having that extra liter of capacity.

Thirsty as a camel? Put this on your back.

Bought this for my son to go to camp. He used it everyday. Held up great and we are going to buy more for the family vacation.

This pack is awesome!

By Alexandria S.

It's sturdy, well constructed, easy to fill, and has just the right amount of pockets for random stuff you need for a day hike. Also, the straps are super comfortable. Really happy with my purchase.

Bought for mountain biking this pack is perfect. Just big enough for the essential tools and H2O. When I am not on the bike there is a place to store my helmet. Thanks Camelbak!

Bought a New Camelbak to Replace my Old One

By Will

I needed to replace my older unit that was well over twenty years old. Yes that's right I said twenty plus years because they are made so well. The seal on the bladder where the water is poured finally gave out. I used it constantly and made plenty of memories using this product. They make the best hydration units on the market using the best materials. It's worth every penny because of this.

Very comfortable.

Perfect amount of storage for All day rides and comfortable enough for even longer ones.

The two gear pouches are small, but very usable and I can store an insulating layer into the pocket between them for cooler weather. The helmet clips are nice to have for off-bike excursions if you don't want to leave it behind. The only (small issue I have is that I'm broad in the shoulders and chest, so the shoulder straps are let all the way out and it puts the magnetic hose clip right near my chin...would be nice if the shoulder straps were a little longer to move the drinking tube farther from my face when I'm not using it.

New and Improved

I bought this to replace an older Lobo which I owned. I was happy to see the top pocket was bigger, the shoulder straps nicer and the bladder supply tube larger. The only thing I did not like was the angle of the mouth piece. I found it very awkward to drink from and it took a lot of effort. I ended up replacing the new one with my older mouth piece which is at a 90 degree angle. Problem solved.

love this pack!

Great pack, plenty of storage pockets, thin straps around the waist so not hot.

Does this model have the Magnetic Tube Trap?
John P on Oct 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does have the Magnetic Tube Trap.
Looks like several answers contradict- does this Orange Lobo pack have the new crux reservoir or the old style reservoir?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It has the new Crux reservoir in it.
Is the model I'm about to purchase a 2017 model which has the new CRUX reservoir?
Also is the 1.4 lb weight give in the specs with the reservoir?
What is the weight with the reservoir removed?
Scott C on Jun 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Scott here. I bought this Lobo Camelbak and weighed it (1 lb without reservoir, 1 lb 7.5 oz with reservoir). Perfect balance between capacity and weight for me (for both mountain and road biking). The baffle down the middle of the reservoir minimizes sloshing when half full. On top of that it's close to old school Denver Bronco Orange (good visibility on the road).
What are the differences between the 2017 Lobo and the older version?

Camelbak Lobo 100 oz. Hydration Pack
Camelbak Lobo 100 oz. Hydration Pack
BEST ANSWER: The 2017 Lobo has a new CRUX reservoir, it delivers 20% more water per sip than the previous version. The older version has the Antidote reservoir. The color scheme has also been changed, and the shoulder straps have a bit more mesh in them. Other than that, the dimensions and etc are similar to the old model.
