Great daypack

Had it for about 6 months, used it over the winter & spring in Maryland as well as a 2-week trip to western Colorado in May. It's been a great day pack, able to carry some extra clothes and a packed lunch while keeping me hydrated. The side pockets are the perfect size for a bike water bottle (for my dog when he goes along. The stuff pouch can hold a rain jacket or pants for when the weather turns. The smaller lined pocket at the top is good for keys and phone to keep them accessible and prot...

Comfortable pack for long hikes

By Andrew T.

This pack comfortably carried everything I needed for back-to-back 14ers in Colorado.

Great hydration day pack.

By Gregory T.

I purchased this pack to replace a Camelbak Blowfish that I had just about forever. Love the extra capacity - for a long dayhike or mtn bike ride, the Blowfish was pretty much maxed out. I do think the shoulder strap padding is somewhat insufficient for a pack of this capacity - just about the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars instead of 4........

I used my new Forteener 24 for the forst time yesterday at disneyland. The oack was great, it was loaded with the hydration bladder, additional water containers, snacks, sweatshirts etc. The pack carried well and was very comfortable. I removed and replaced the pack alot throughout the day, the straps stayed in place making it fast and easy to put back on. The straps also held while walking around. The only negative I discovered was that the chest strap buckle was upside down, which made it uncomfortable unless I twisted the strap before buckling.

Bring back Camelbak Charge! Pretty please.

This backpack is okay, but I wish it was like the camelbak charge (from a few years ago) with the triangle shaped water bladder. I could really use that bag in a 20-24 liter capacity in a lime green color with reflective patches so cars can see me at night. I don't like the ventilation gap on these newer bags either. I like the bag to hug me like the charge.

The side pockets are the perfect size for a bike water bottle (for my dog when he goes along. The stuff pouch can hold a rain jacket or pants for when the weather turns. The smaller lined pocket at the top is good for keys and phone to keep them accessible and protected. The main pocket is cavernous, even with a full water bladder, and I'm pretty sure I could use this as an overnight backpack if I was hammocking. The zippered hip belt pocket is good for map/compass and maybe an energy bar if you need one. One feature that would be nice, that's on another brand pack of mine, is a small mesh pocket on the other side of the hip belt that I find useful for napkins/tissues/food wrappers so you can secure your small trash without having to take the pack off...but definitely not a deal breaker. Bottom line - if you want a serious hydration daypack, this is the one to get.

Amazing features!

I received this gift for my birthday, and it may just be my favorite gift to date. I have been looking for a daypack so I don't have to lug around my 65 on short hikes. This bag is amazing, it truly has every function that I was looking for plus more that I never even knew I wanted and now I couldn't live without.

Great all around pack

By Paul K.

This pack was just what I was looking for. With the waist straps on most smaller packs like this there is little to no storage for items you may want frequently. This pack has great storage options on the waist straps. It has a great pocket to hold scratch-able items that is fleece lined to protect these items. I use mine for festivals and hiking mostly but it works great as a small travel pack for short day or two day trips if you are a light packer. I use this pack regularly and have enjoyed its capable size and hydration feature with a large 3L reservoir.

Excellent.

I bought this bag a few weeks ago. It holds quite a bit of gear for the range and for a 2 night camping trip. So far so good. No complaints!!

Why did you choose this?
Sunny Sports Store
This pack has a large reservoir allowing for longer day hikes. This coupled with the medium capacity allows for plenty of storage for longer day hikes as well. The waist strap system that also acts as a compression feature better securing the load to your back is another great feature. I also like the shove it pocket which is great for smaller gear like a rain jacket.

Does this come with the bladder?
sara h on Mar 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: YEs, it has everything you need and is a very good pack. A little smaller than I had hoped but only because I didn't realize the measurements. It is exactly as it states it will be, I just didn't have the concept of size. But big enough regardless.
is the waist belt removable?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sorry the waist belt is not removable.
I,m 6'2" will this pack fit my torso?
Tim N on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'11'' and 165lbs. It fits me just fine, and there is plenty of strap material to extend for larger waists and longer torsos than mine. My guess is that it would fit.
is this for men, women or unisex?
Sandra L on Oct 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It’s really measured for a man. Women’s backpacks are a little shorter to accommodate a smaller waist and hips, but it all comes down to your body shape and what feels comfortable. This pack is perfect for me, but too long for my wife. If you’re not sure, make a trip down to your local REI or equivalent for a proper fitting. The right pack is a very important piece of gear.
