Great if you get the 16" diameter

By Holly B.

I bought 1 last year & wanted a 2nd for my kids since we liked it so well. I purchased another & it had a leak. I was sent a replacement without an issue. The replacement however isn't the same size. This one has a bigger hole in the middle and isn't as thick as the original, it's wider. It doesn't work as well. I'm not sure when or why they changed it but I would of rather had a replacement in the original style.

I have about 30 of these tubes. They hold up pretty well and are generally small enough for the kids in my camp to reach the water for paddling. Similar tubes are too big or have a rope that chafes the arms of the passenger. They are affordable enough that I am not too upset when one springs a leak. We use them with a PFD in rivers with mild rapids.

What is the size of the opening?

BEST ANSWER: The first 1 I got had a 16" diameter opening and was about 9" thick. It had an air leak so they sent me a replacement. Airhead changed the dimensions because this one had a 17" opening and it's only about 7" thick. I am not happy with the replacement. We liked the thicker tube and smaller opening. I have younger kids so I liked the smaller opening.
