We used this bucket when backpacking in the Paria Canyon. After 3 flash floods in this area, the river was super silty. We used the bucket to let it settle (only some) and then filter. It was completely collapsible to fit in the filter bag for storage and weighs nearly morning. We had to use a twist tie to hang from a tree to hold it up. It does not hold up on its own. It was very functional. If a firm lip for putting was added that would be helpful. It did it's job well.

Super lightweight and small. Really handy in the backcountry when you have to walk a distance to a water source and can bring some water back to your campsite as it may not be convenient or safe to sit by the water's edge and pump. It's also handy to have a bucket of water hanging off a tree branch next to or near your campfire for safety's sake. Lastly, instead of dunking your JetBoil in a river to fill it up, just dip the STS folding bucket and then transfer the water to your jetboil. It folds down so small and weighs nothing. The biggest challenge is loosing it in your backpack because it's so small and remembering how to fold it up to put it back in it's case.

Lightweight and packable. My friend has this and we've used it many camping & backpacking trips so I decided I needed one myself. Pro tip: WASH BEFORE USING - terrible manufacture taste the first couple of uses!

I have yet to use this folding bucket on the trail, but I have used it when camping as an additional water source. I hung it up and it worked great to dip my measuring cup into when preparing oatmeal and other dishes. Much faster than using my plastic water holder with a spigot!

When slightly filled ---it seems to strain to stay upright. Best used as a hanging option rather than free standing Super light though and packs super small.

This bag is super lightweight and holds water well without leaking. It is compact and perfect for taking backpacking to use for getting water from a shallow source to use your filter.

I'm amazed how this bucket can almost be hidden in the palm my hand when compressed but opens up to hold approximately 2 U.S. gallons. Well made. Very pleased with this product. I own three which are used in our families emergency "Go Bags".

Love this super compact, light, and useful folding bucket. We take it on all our backpacking trips and use it for almost every meal. It's great for grabbing water from a river or lake, and then we gently pour water from the bucket through a filter that takes out all the bugs and dirt, and into a large container. From there I add a pill to get rid of the microscopic bugs and potential sources of illness. This is totally perfect.

This was a last minute purchase before a backpacking trip and I was so glad I got it! It was very useful and we ended up using it a lot. It is super light weight and folds up into a tiny little pouch. This will definitely be a camping and backpacking staple to have with us.

Took this on JMT thru hike for general washing up at evening camp as well as doing light laundry. Incredibly light and easy to throw in a ziploc with some Wilderness Wash and a cord for clothes. Only challenge is it is not freestanding so needed to hang it from a log etc or hold the handles with one hand to keep the water from spilling out.

Lightweight and durable. My first one lasted several seasons of carrying water, taking bucket bird baths, rinsing laundry, and carrying gear. It?s so minimalistic, you forget you even have it, and it?s become one of my essential items. I never backpack without it.

I have always looked for such an item and finally I have one! ?? Less than 1 ounce! There is always a need for several gallons of water at camp. This is so convenient, packs tiny and is multi-purpose. The strap on top can easily hang from a small tree branch and you have water waiting for whatever you need it for.

SO light weight. TOTALLY worth it for so many reasons. Works GREAT to help protect streams by making it easy to carry enough water far enough from the water source for washing - dishes, body - whatever. Can stand on its own on a VERY flat surface, but really needs a branch for hanging...

I had no idea that it packed down to the size of a walnut and weighs like the same as pocket lint. I use this to get water from streams and springs where it is difficult to pump directly. this replaces a much more bulky vinyl.

Such a great product, so well made. It eliminates the need for a bulky H2O carrier. So nice to be able to have this while backpacking when H2O needs to be carried away from the source before filtering, or extinguishing a campfire. Compact and durable.

A very handy camp item, small and light to carry. Holds plenty of water for cooking uses, plus a good reservoir for filtering. Turn it inside out to wash clothes and yourself. Being light weight it must be handled with care, but mine is good after several years. Also a good present for fellow campers. It's well thought out, and serves many functions.

This requires a bit of a shift if you are a bucket user. It does not stand up by itself-you have to hang a full bucket. Once you shift your thinking to rigging a system to suspend the bucket, this is a revelation. Our old bucket was heavy and didn?t fold well. This is TINY and compacts to about the size and weight of a few spoons. Don?t know why we kept lugging the old dry bag bucket so many years. This is the best addition we have made to our cook kit in years.

Works great. Requires hanging, but self-standing options don't stand well anyway (especially if you don't have much even ground around), so you usually need to hang them as well, while ending up with a much bulkier item. This one is super compact and lightweight. Keeps water well. Used it for several backpacking trips so far.
