Love them

This is my second pair in Three years. The first pair didn't wear out but I thought it would be better to get a larger pair because it's hard to get my older ones on. That was a mistake. The larger ones are to large. Oh well, anyway I highly recommend these. They couldn't be better. You get what you pay for.

Works

My wife and I have been using these for a couple of winters now without issue. Not as aggressive as some, but these are more stable if you hit hard ground, or rocks, in the spring. The only downside with the shorter spikes is they will pack with snow a bit easier. You just need to be aware when you get back onto the ice.

Great traction

I've used both these and the Kahtoola microspikes, both are very comparable. I can't tell a difference between a few uses. Bought several pair of these at a great price. I can highly recommend. I've used them to climb several icy mountains in the High peaks of Adirondacks. When it's ready icy, I'll switch to crampons. But there are times that crampons are overkill and these are perfect.

Stainless steel?

Pro's: extremely good fit over both boot and running shoe; excellent traction in snow and ice. Con's: the second time I went to put them on, they had rusted....stainless steel? It's not like anyone is going to see the rusty ice cleats on the bottom of your feet; but I apprecate the honesty in telling someone what they are buying.

4-Wheel Drive for your feet!

I have used these microspikes for walking the dog and serious trail running in the mountains with mixed snow and ice. My first couple of runs I found the front slipped to the side on the shoe on one foot. After repositioning and bringing the rubber ring up higher on the shoes I had no further movement. These spikes are aggressive and give unbelievable traction in all conditions except dry pavement/cement of course. These are overkill if you are just trying to walk across a parking lot but if you plan to do hills or high speed mountain treks and can't afford a break down, these are for you. Awesome.
