the previous version had a "solid" insert in the rim to keep the sink wide open. the new version doesn't do this as well, and I'm not sure how to fold it properly to prolong its life. I do like how super light and quicker drying this new version is.

We mainly use this for washing dishes (as you have to dump biodegradable soap away from water sources) but my partner also uses it to wash her hair when camping. Great little sink!

Punctured a hole with a knife and Sea to Summit sent me a brand new sink. Really great customer service!

Packs up tiny and very lightweight, but to do that, you're sacrificing some sort of barrier protection and walls. We used it as a dish-washing tub on a recent camping trip, and it didn't feel completely dry under the spot we'd use it, and it was a bit tricky to use, like washing dishes in a balloon. BUT, all that said, it did the job. So if you don't mind sacrificing a bit to save weight, this could be a good purchase.

My favorite Ultralite sink. Packs small and retains water for filtering and washing !!!!

More stable for holding water upright than the cylinder model. Dual purpose!

I purchased this sink for group camping trips - either summer trips or winter trips to backcountry huts for skiiing where there?s rarely a sink or other option for cleaning dishes, cups, etc. I did a test at home in my kitchen sink. It?s easy to set up this sink and to fold it up to store it back in its case. However, as others have mentioned, you must fill this sink up at least with a liter or two of water for it to work. Also, this sink does tend to spread out more than I?d prefer - I.e., you get a large shallow disc shaped sink. Still for the size and weight this seems like a decent solution for my groups.

Amazing. Light weight and works well. We used this on the Maah daah hey trail and it was great to have a bath and do laundry at the end of the day!

The kitchen sink is great for cleaning up when you have lots of dishes. A wide mouth that's stabilized makes all the difference. You need to have it reasonably full to get the stability though.

This sink is great it packs down to next to nothing and fits a ridiculous amount of water in it! I would recommend it to anyone who is either backpacking or short on space. This will absolutely make things easier for you when cleaning up at camp.

Much better than the previous collapsible bucket we used, takes up astonishingly little pack space. Does tend to flatten out more than I?d prefer and leaks easily over the rim, but you?re outside anyway so water spilling isn?t really a problem. Managed dishes for my family of five on a 60+ mile backpacking trip.

Bought this packable sink for a ?car camping with only a backpack? trip on the other side of the country. Not only did we do our dishes in it, but also used it to haul water to put out our fire and to purify our water to our reservoirs rather than sitting on the riverbank. Also was big enough to put on our rental car seat to prevent soaking the seat after swimming! Works far better when you fill it rather than just a few inches of water.

I use the Sea to Summit 20L kitchen sink as part of my dish wash system while car camping. It works great. I'm on my 3rd season with it and it's still going strong. Holds water well and doesn't spill. I recommend it highly. Check out my video review on my YouTube channel Lone Crow Adventures.

I bought this product because I loath hunched over by a body of water to clean dishes and filter water. Great product for an ultra light backpacker. Makes cleaning and water filtering nice and easy. As you would expect it needs to be on a very level surface. I would recommend this product to anyone who spends a decent amount of time in the back country.

A whole lot of functionality packed into a compact, lightweight product. Helps conserve water around camp and supports LNT principles since I no longer feel the urge to clean dishes or wash near a water source.

Ok we all need one of these sinks. Not only is it incredibly light and contactable, but it can be used for many other things. Canoeing or hiking with a pet, great bowl for the dog. Scoop water out of the stream and purify. These and a lot more. Great product

This is very light! When I got it out of the package, I couldn't get it to unfold correctly...just couldn't fully untwist it. I figured that it was defective, so I sent to a picture of the problem to Sea To Summit. They responded that the plastic tube in the brim can take a set if it is kept folded up too long. The remedy that they suggested was to immerse the sink in hot (but not boiling) water, which would allow the brim material to relax into the proper shape. This worked well, although I may do it a gain with just a bit hotter water to see if the last touch of a wave will come out of it. I thought I would just pass along that tip....
