Great Pack!
This is a fantastic pack. It's lightweight, has great back padding, and holds tons of stuff. It is more periwinkle than purple. The only downside is that the bottom-most 2 straps in the front are not elastic, but rather a flat, stiff band. Wish these were stretchy to fit things into it! Overall - awesome pack. Highly recommended

Overall, Great Backpack
I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it! she uses it ALL the time. Its a pretty good backpack for 1 to 2 day trips. Its too small for anything longer. The only thing I don't like is that it has no side or front openings to get to the main compartment. And that's about it. :-)

Just what I was looking for!
I mostly do long day hikes, but like a back pack that I can bring anything I think I may need, in the way of expecting the unexpected. This pack provides all of this and more, plus it is light and comfortable.

Good pack
This pack was great for a week in South America. Went to Peru and took it on the Inca Trail. The padding was great. I didn't get a chance to be in the rain with it. The only con is that since it is top loading (as most packs are) it is hard to locate things you need without taking everything out to find it. Also the colors were a little different than the photo (I got the green one and it had more gray on the sides. Also it is a bit large for a 'carry on' on a plane....but I got through 3 airports fine.
